I have "Public Version : v2.2.09.02" of BCM. My computer runs on Windows Me, 128 MB RAM, AMD Athlon 800mhz, Visiontek Geforce2 GTS 64mb card with the newest Detonator drivers, DirectX 8.0, and my motherboard is
a Jabil Kadoka(gateway sure has weird parts). Also, I received this version of BCM off the July CD of Computer Gaming World Magazine. When I start the BCM executable, the game changes my resolution and loads up a black screen. Then it crashes back to the desktop. What can I do about it?

You have Episode 1 of the Demo. I see that you have a Geforce 2. Ok most people on here would tell you to RTFM, but I am in a good mood so here is what you need to do. Go to Display Properties. In the Direct3D section of the Advanced settings tab, disable (remove the tick mark from the box) the feature described as: Adjust Z-Buffer depth to rendering depth if unequal. After you do that the demo should work. Good luck!!!!

OK nobody kill me for this but if you are running the latest drivers i think the SC said in another topic that the option to Disable Adjust Z-Buffer depth to rendering depth if unequal was removed by Nvidia in latter revisions of the drivers. I know I have(now) a 32MB Gladiac GTS with the latest drivers and I don't have that option but I did with the original drivers that came with the card.
My advice the EP2 is better and beside BCM is out this week either get EP2 which does not have above problem or wait for BCM.

RTFM?!?! I already did and changing the Z-buffer does not solve the problem.

Kain,
What version of Mediaplayer do you have? The same happened to me till I got the latest (7.1 I think). Without this, some of the explosion .avis also won't play, causing it to crash.
