Why do the planet clouds move so fast when viewed from space?

Is this a multi-core CPU issue or by design?

Can I slow them down to "real"?

I know I can turn them off but that just break the immersion even more.

They would be ripping the planet (and my ship) to shreds!!

There is no way to change them. They are either on or off. And they can move fast depending on the speed of the machine.

Actually I turned them off, as they were spinning too fast for my taste. I'm just fine without them (though I sometimes feel the need to run the game with default settings, just to get that feeling once in a while...The same need that sometimes makes me fire up again BC millenium gold D:)
