  1. Welcome to the Broadband world my friend.
  2. If Orion is to have a Co Leader, I'd like to see Dan Cooper, my XO to have that position. He is a great leader, and a very responsible individual. But as always, I will abide by your decisions.
  3. Yes please, I am willing to lead this fleet to the best of my abilities.
  4. Present and accounted for! Commander Grayfox is out for the week. That is the only absence that I am aware of. Everyone else should be reporting in as the SC has ordered.
  5. I will see if I can get a hold of him boss, and let him know you're looking for him.
  6. I dual boot and get the best of both worlds. I'm mostly in Win2k, but occassionally boot into Win98se for some good DOS gaming. So far I have about 15% of my games won't play in Win2k. Not bad. Win2k is an awesome gaming OS if you get the right tweaks for it, IMHO. My Dad doesn't think it is right that they can drop support for something people use. I don't ever see him upgrading his Win98se PC anytime soon.
  7. The ultimate insult would be for his next door neighbor to get it and park it in the drive way for all to see.
  8. Cmdr Masefield, that is perfect.
  9. Right, good idea, and make it so. Use my Sig for reference if needed. That goes for all Orion Fleet Personel.
  10. Mr. Badger, great to see ya, and I see you've done good in your absence. As such, I am reinstating you as Commandant of the Academy.
  11. My Avatar and I have almost the same attitude. Most times I am direct and too the point. 'nuff said.
  12. I still have it Grayfox, just PM me the Email address I need to send it to. Let me know if you need anything Nova, I will provide anything I can.
  13. Due to the recent reorganization of the Fleet, here is the new Command Structure and Deployments as of today: Personnel: Fleet Executive Officer: Commander Dan $ilk Cooper Cmdr Cooper has been a tremendous help getting Orion back on its feet. Deterrence Battle Group: Decommissioned With the disappearance of Commander David Foss, the DetBG is hereby decommissioned, and any active members of the group are now transferred into the Supremacy Battle Group. As you can see, we are a fleet in need, but I believe with a little elbow grease, and determination, we can rebuild Orion back into the great fleet we once were. The areas I most like to get back up to speed are Logistics, and Recruitment. We need to be able to support an extended deployment of any Battle Group. And for our Battle Groups to grow and multiply, we need an active recruiting program. After these two deficiencies are addressed and resolved, the rest will start to fall in place. We may currently look like were down, but we certainly are not out..Far from it. Thank You,
  14. quote:Originally posted by Kahul Bane: ... but I might could come back around if neeeded... and get UC.. The fleet looks small these days... Let me know guys and I will make it so. We need to let you know??? With all due respect Cmdr Bane, this is your choice to make. The question is, Do YOU want to be part of the Orion Fleet? We may be a small fleet, but I am not about to go begging people to stay. That goes for anybody in this fleet. You either want in, or you want out! While you are deciding, get the hell out of the way, those of us committed got work to do!
  15. I too appreciate you coming forth with this announcement. I also will miss your contributions you give to Orion. Ah Hell, I've been through the mountains and valleys with you, through thick and thin. You've had me both praising you, and pulling my hair out over you. (I say that in a good sense. ) I was hoping you would've helped Orion through the rebirth, and continue on our prosperty. But you've made up your mind, and I accept that. Stay in touch, and don't become a stranger of the past. God Speed.... *salute*
  16. Hey thanks Chavik and Gudihl, much appreciated. Thanks for the helpful links Cmdr Cooper. I will contact the SC about fixing access to the Fleet Database. Now for the rest of you that are reading this and have yet to check in.....Get a move on!
  17. You are hereby promoted to the full rank of Commander. You are now part of the Sark Battle Group and your sig should now reflect the change. Replace the Academy tag with Sark Battle Group, and get rid of that Orion Fleet Link. Congrats.
  18. [RP]As of today, by order of the Supreme Commander of Galcom, Karl Reines, I hereby have been promoted to Fleet Leader of the Orion Fleet.[/RP] I need everyone to check in to the roll call thread so I know who is still around. If I don't hear from you soon, you will be purged from the fleet, effective 3/8/04 12am est. If you want a job in this Fleet, you need to be present and accounted for. Here are the tasks that need to be completed in the very near future: New Fleet Admin Staff. Will be finalizing this over the weekend, and will be handing out promotions as they are set. New Fleet logo's and signage. I will be busy with this but will look over entries submitted my other fleet members. New Fleet Discussion Board. This is currently WIP under Cmdr $ilk's direction. New Fleet Website. Truthfully, websites are not a strong point of mine. I do have personal webspace to donate to the cause. This is something we need to discuss, as I do have a few ideas, and want some input with options. This subject definately will be a round table discussion. My first order of business: For all you haven't already done so, remove the old Orion Fleet Website link from your sigs. I will be in touch, stay alert.
  19. Hmm, I could've sworn there were more than two of us in this fleet. Speak up you sleepy heads!
