  1. Very interesting. For software such as utilities, and non game stuff, I like it. But for PC games, I still would like the boxed item in hand.
  2. Thanks Remo for checking in on us. I like you haven't heard from Blades in a while also. Blades is in the Fleet DB, but I don't know when that entry was made. I will send him an email at the address in the DB. Thanks $ilk for getting this thread started.
  3. You are absolutely right. Every year is the same old same old. Every year, the worst flu season "yet". Even my Dad is telling me to get one. Let me get the flu once first, then I may reconcider after I know what "getting the Flu" entails.
  4. Now to my knowledge, I believe I've had all my shots. I'm free of rabbies. I refuse to get a Flu shot every year. I don't feel I need one. I rarely get sick, and when I do, it is not that bad, and I've yet to actually get the Flu. Not only that but it is the thought of why would I want to inject myself with the actual flu bug? Yea I know it is supposed to be dead, and only to be used to make my immue system aware, but I don't want it. Well with this year's Flu season being so bad, my wife is asking me to reconsider getting a shot. I will not get a shot, I don't want it, I feel I don't need it. I wouldn't be surprised if the first shot I get, I'd get the flu for that season.
  5. quote:Originally posted by Bandus: Not true. A movie theater and a restaurant are private property. They could check you at the door and confinscate your cell phone/beeper for the time you remained at the establishment and if you didn't like that they could tell you to "piss off." Someone COULD sue. No way they'd win. Furthermore, to completly prevent a lawsuit the establishment would simply need to do what was stated earler....put up a few signs informing everyone of the jammers. Then the establishment would be in trouble with the FCC, as the FCC has banned the use of active Jammers.
  6. I nominate this one from a few days ago in Pennsylvania "A hunter found dead in his tree stand on Saturday night accidentally shot himself in the neck, according to the Armstrong County coroner's office. Thomas Morris Van Dyke, 40, was found dead in a tree stand 14 feet above the ground in South Buffalo at 8:30 p.m., after he had been reported missing by his family about an hour earlier......Armstrong County Coroner Robert T. Bower said Van Dyke had a history of carrying his gun with the safety off while hiking through woods and climbing tree stands....."
  7. Biting???? My brother's kid would just punch out the kid holding the toy he wanted, didn't matter if it was a boy or a girl. Every family gathering was the same, if someone started cryin, we were looking for Ken Jr. (We are talking 3 years old here!)
  8. quote:Originally posted by rtoolooze: Wow, I had a blast with you guys tonight. Glad we could get together and do alittle multiplay. Hey Greg, your definitly good. Nice job man. We'll have to do it again soon, be cool. Nah, I don't consider myself that good, although I'm on the Battlefield a lot. My specialties are Destroyer, Tank, and my own weapons. Anything else (eg. a plane) I plain suck at. Jag, you were doing good with that B17 tailgun, I was watchin. Try to customize your keyboard in the game, it should be a tremendous help. That is what I did.
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I was very much looking forward to this as well. I have HarpoonII Admiral Edition. It may be DOS based, but the game was fun. I suspected this was going to happen after the game kept missing it's ship dates. Oh well, I did see speculation on the UbiSoft forums that Harpoon4 was very dumbed down from the game it was. Oh well, I will now think about buying Harpoon3, which is HP2 updated for Windows.
  10. SC, let me know when you've captured the scum. I will be down to hook him up to the back of my truck for the drive back to Pittsburgh. After a few trips around the 'burgh, then I will head out west to Gig Harbor so Jaguar can drag him around there for a while. I just hope there is enough of him left for Jaguar to get some satisfaction out of.
  11. This started happening to me last week when I went to add the sender to my block list, I noticed it was my own email addy. I've since got a total of 5 of these emails. I was and am still very pissed about this. If I ever catch this guy, I will drag him around the streets of Pittsburgh, tied to the back of my truck.
  12. Alive and Kicking! Here is the link to the Orion Fleet Forums. About Orionfleet.com Blades was supposed to transfer everything over to Orionfleet.net. Speaking of Blades, I know he was not well, has anyone seen him in the last 3 months?
  13. lol!!! Keep getting that file size lower SC, the 56kers will appreciate it i'm sure. (I'm not a 56ker, but I never forget where I came from. ) I can't wait to see this. Oh and guys, the next time the SC asks for requests like this.....Please keep in mind the bandwidth costs he has to put out for this stuff.
  14. These people are Greedy FREAKIN Morons!!!! Nobody I know wants this service turned back on. Do You???
  15. If you saw "Spots" in this movie you now know why. quote:Well, something new and horrible has been introduced on some studios' prints. Sort of a giant picture-marring version of Cap Code dots: Very large reddish brown spots that flash in the middle of the picture, usually placed in a light area. They flash in various patterns throughout a given reel while other reels of the same film may have none at all. A Kodak spokesman who helped devise the original Cap Code says this is not the work of his company but theorizes that it may be intended to be more visible on the murky compressed copies that get posted to the Internet where the original, very subtle Cap Code may be difficult to discern.Sigh, I guess it might be time to start boycotting movies as well.
  16. Intuit to TurboTax users: We're sorry lol!!! That is what you get for making a deal with the Software Devil. Ye made your bed Intuit now lie in it! I'm almost sure it will be another TaxCut year for me. Trust is easy to lose, but hard to earn back. If I remember back then, the Intuit CEO bascially said a really small group of users were unhappy with TurboTax 2002. Small group my a**!!!
  17. Mano, You may need more ram. The game calls for 256megs of Ram, which you have. Keep in mind though WinXP is eating over 128megs of it, leaving you with less than half. I suggest going to either 512 megs, or even a Gig. I'll D'load the Demo myself and let you know if I faired any better with my Gig or Ram.
  18. Sudhian (formerly Via Hardware) has a very good editoral on Veriscum. Has the DOD gone mad????
  19. If you think Microsoft is bad, Veriscum (Verisign) is worse!
  20. In the state of Pennsylvania, the DMV (PennDOT) makes you take a certified eye exam at the time of submitting the paperwork. I've had glasses since the 5th grade. The lady told me to take my glasses off and take the exam. I did. She then told me to take the exam again. I did. She then told me to put my glasses back on and take the exam again. I did. She passed me then, and I now have a requirement on my license that I must have corrective lenses on while driving. God help any Pedestrians should I drive down a street they are crossing without my glasses on.
  21. Jag, you should have used it when they first released it over 2 weeks ago, it was a mess!!! 750megs for all the patch files and what not.
  22. I am off again this weekend. See you all on Monday. Cmdr Nova, you know the drill.
  23. Now the enforcers are getting in the act!!! Hopefully this fiasco should be ended soon. We can only hope.
