  1. well since the game was designed from its inception to be this way, and players have spent years playing it like this and developed that way, it would be kind of peeving to change it all of a sudden. however they would be left with several options. complain and continue playing quit playing complain complain and quit playing.
  2. i have soundblaser live and its not on board junk, you have an onboard sound blaster live? onboard audio is normally some silly intel thing depending or depending on the maker of the motherboard.
  3. kalshion: needs no further explanation, you said it correctly. after all its rpg... not twitch based. which is the case with most rpg's... can a level 10 character compete with a level 70 character? Or even a level 30? Never. Despite that TAC, it is still something for everyone. like a big department store like walkmart, crowded with something each person is looking for. i mean after all what do you want? all 25000 people in area doing something?
  4. why thank you, now i have to buy a joystick just to relive the old glory days of wc1,2,3,4 and5
  5. well I have been playing for a few weeks now, and I like it. If star trek online is like this, with better less skill based reliant combat, then I'll be happy, especially since you can walk inside ships and on planets etc...and have a person as an alter ego and not a ship. one thing that strikes me about Eve is that no matter how long you will be playing for there will always be something you're striving for. you can become fairly useful early on and quickly with the right focus of skill training, but the ultra advanced stages could take very long, meaning for new players it's all good and for veterans they still have ways they can go...
  6. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16600139/?GT1=8921 i cant imagine someone kidnapping my son. i cant imagine going on... and for four years...
  7. I noticed BCNG has disappeared off the forums, has it been cancelled? Is UCO still on stream? I know it says 2008 but seems you have a lot of projects working on at the same time.
  8. perhaps a 9 year old playing a game where killing cops is rewarded and fun can hurt that pysche of that kid. I remember playing doom from as early as 11 or so, but that was monstours... has a nine year old reached the stage where he can separate himself? Yeah he knows right from wrong, but he doesn't have very deep intellectual thoughts of it from then. And perhaps some can be badly negetively influenced. But from 16 and up... its ridiculous to believe that a violent video game can influence someone to do violent things unless some sort of disorder was present from before. Meaning you were bad already And we see that it's not games that do the damage it's parents lack of supervision. My 9 year old won't be shooting people in a game. Well maybe he might, but they'll be baddies
  9. I am sorry about your friend. I also had a very good friend die of cancer as well, i sat with him before he died, it was very sad. interestingly enough he had two young children as well, a boy and a girl, as he had recently married a long time girl friend. I wish he were still here, he was a great source of inspiration, and i wish i had his wisdom to counsel me in my times of trouble. when i saw your friend died of cancer, i felt compelled to share this, i havent thought of it for a long time. im one of those people who buries pain very deep, sometimes it just comes out in moments like these. i cant deal with it, its better off dead and buried. about your friend's daughter. if she has a disorder, the disorder cannot just be related to potty training, there must be either symptoms of the disorder, other things she can't learn or do. Then you have a disorder, if it is just the potty thing and she learns fine etc... then it is something she can overcome. I am sorry about your friend.
