  1. Hey! At least we ain't humping on flat ground. Good luck there DarkHorizon, if you're not at MEPS yet. ------------------ Cmdr. John Clark GCV-Transcendence The more we sweat in peace time, the less we bleed in war time.
  2. eh.. Wolferz, you pretty much asking to be ITed if you call your drill instructor Seargent or by their rank. Also, recruits don't rate the title private till they reach the crucible. My best advice for boot camp is just suck everything up and keep on charging. Boot Camp isn't really that hard once if you think about it. The Corps has changed a lot in the past few years. Heck, you don't even get kicked out for smoking pot anymore. All you get is NJP unless it's your second time. If you ask me, the Corps is a bit softer than it use to be. There are still plenty of gung ho devildogs out there though. P.S. Dark Horizon, always remember that in boot camp, you're a recruit until you finish the climb the reaper or do whatever they do at PI. Don't even think about giving an "oohrah," unless you feel like being thrashed. Good luck at MCRD. ------------------ Cmdr. 6. Hehe... I feel kind of strange bringing this old thread back, but it seemed somewhat appropriate. Anyway, after a long and arduous 3 months, I'm back. I bet noone even noticed I was gone or probably who I am. I now stand tall and proud as a United States Marine PFC too ------------------ Cmdr. 7. I too have yet to reproduce this effect in a non playmod game. It's happened to me plenty of times with the playmod cheats, so I'm pretty sure the problem is mainly due to some kind of playmod corruption. But since others seem to have this problem without the use of playmod, this crew getting stuck thing works both ways. ------------------ Cmdr. John Clark GCV-Transcendence For Hope, For Peace, For Earth, Forever
  8. Hehe I'm c/o 2000 What am i going to do? Hehe Marine Corps all the way! ------------------ Cmdr. John Clark GCV-Transcendence For Hope, For Peace, For Earth, Forever

  16. quote:since its been a long time since most of us have seen it for sale anywhere but the 10 dollar bargain bin. I'm not sure I remember a game, whether successful or unsuccessful NOT end up in the bargain bin after its time in the spotlight. After all, who would still spend $40 for a copy of say...Doom2? ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  17. Hm.. I've had this problem lately too. I'm pretty sure it is a playmod thing because all my other games are fine. Anyway, I fixed it by simply self destructing my ship. Sending all my important crew members to a shuttle first of course. Seem to do the trick. Heck, GalCom even gave me a new ship. Gee I wonder what brass is thinking. ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  18. Bah! I'm still on a p133 for crying out loud! I'd prolly keep using this too if BC:M's requirements weren't so high Damn BC:M screen shots keep seducing me to buy a new computer. And I'll probably give in, hehe ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  19. Ah... I guess the upgrade was why I couldn't load the site today ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  20. quote:Instead, spice things up with a few off topic but contentious posts. I personally recommend: Gun control Software piracy (the phrase "It's okay to pirate buggy software" is particularly potent) Derek Smart <--OMG Religion Microsoft Quake vs. Unreal Tournament All of these topics are guaranteed to get at least a hundred and fifty posts, sometimes involving as many as three or four different people. 21. Rengard starts out exactly where the briefing says it is, but jumps to the nearby starstation right away. If you want to catch it, you have to be in the system at the same time, or have a shuttle there. Good lucky, on TOD 2 M5. If you beat it, things only get harder ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  22. Omg.. I'm so sorry for you loss. I hope the Bc community can offer you some solace. I offer my most sincere sympathies. ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  23. Rod, for your crash problem, you might want to search the forum for problems like yours. I'm pretty sure you're not the first to encounter them. As for you not being able to observe a planet/moon, try reinstalling the game this way. 1. Install from 2.0x cd. 2. Patch to 2.08 or 2.09 3. Install mappak ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  24. Hehe, maybe you should hurt your back more often so you can play BC3k more! j/k Welcome 'board, joe! ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor
  25. Future Marine here! Prolly gonna be thinking of BCM the whole damn time hehe. Semper fi! and long live the CORPS! ------------------ GCV-Transcendence Death before Dishonor [This message has been edited by Avant Garde (edited 04-10-2000).]
