  2. Over here we have to wait till Jan 18!!

I lived in the US for sometime (I graduated at an US high school too), and now work in a "quite big" US firm. So I often have to speak, read or write in english. See you in space
  4. quote:Originally posted by Cmdr Jeffery Eu: As at posting this it's 9.00pm Wednesday 12/19/2001. HELP!!!! I guess Malaysa is 7 hours ahead of Central European time, 8 hours ahead of GMT and 13 hours ahead of US Eastern Time (New York). So if you see an hour on Eastern to figure out your time just add 13 hours (for example: 6am Eastern Time (at New York) would be 7pm your time, same day! Or 8pm Eastern (Dec. 19) would be 9am (Dec. 20). Easy, isn't it?) See you in space!
  5. Thanks Demolition! Cmdrs, I am reading your mails right now. Will reply as soon as I finish. See you in space!
  6. Cmdr. Williams, Cmdr. Jansen! Please, check your mail as soon as possible! I sent you something about Delta Wing Page! Cmdr. Badgerius, I wanted to send it to you too, but could not find your e-mail. Contact Cmdr. Williams ASAP. Thanks. See you in space!

  8. Probably. If it does not support DirectX 8.1, and the driver are old (and there are no new driver around since there is no maker anymore) this could be the cause of your slowness (is slowness correct?? ). Well, wait some months (maybe 2 or 3) and the GeForce2 price will drop a lot, GeForce3 is hitting Europe right now!!! [ 12-18-2001: Message edited by: Stephanos ]
  9. One last thing! (But I am sure you already did it) Check the Problems with Voodoo 5 thread. Looks like your videocard could be the problem.
  10. Mmmmhhh... let's see.... I found that reducing audio performance one or two notches helped me a lot! Also, I do not play music and I turned the bridge chatter effect off. Try with this for the start. You have much more Ram than I used to, and a better videocard. Maybe it someway related to your SB LIve!
  11. IMHO you should try with a different video card. But again, I am not a technical expert, so... If this is not enough, and you find out you need to change the Processor, you already have a good videocard for the new PC!!!
  12. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Your rig barely meets the game's minimum requirements. As such, you shouldn't be running higher than 640x480 With minimum req., as I used to have, I had to reduce two notches the audio performance, and one notch the graphic performance (I used to have such an hold videocard, with only 16MB) but at 640x480 it ran smooth, slowing just a little while in the heat of the battle!
  13. Papi, since my geforce 2 is almost the same you have, it is clear that the difference of 10-15 fps (I get around 50fps) should come either from the processor (P4 1.7 Ghz) or from the Ram (512Mb). I don't know which one is most important. But, anyway, a new videocard is the best and first way to get BCM to run smoother! This is clear.
  14. With my old PC i had your same framerates (my old PC specs are still in my System Profile), running 640x480, 16bit. Now I changed PC (Thanks Santa Claus! ), and I have still to update my System Profile (anyway it's a P4 1.7Ghz, 512Mb Ram and a GeF2 with 32Mb) I get 50 fps in free flight and 20/30 fps in combact. I do think processor is the main issue and maybe your video card. But I am not a tech-wizard. Hope this help! See you in space!
  15. Space Dragons??? Are they somehow related to Whormholes? Maybe Space Dragons are big brothers of Wormholes! And what about Einstein-Rosen Bridges? Did anyone ever used them in BCM? I did!!! eh eh eh. Guess where.
  16. I guess Black Holes are somewhere in BCM (otherwise why put their animation among the others like Wormholes, Fluxfields, etc.). But I have never met any. BTW I only travelled in Terran quadrant, and only part of it! Who knows, somewhere in deep space maybe... See you in space!
  17. I think that Saturday at 16.00 Eastern time (22.00 GMT) should work also for European members (at least it should be good for me , even if I will be already on holiday at my parents home). But probably there could be problems for those based in Australia and surrounding areas.
  18. Ok, as some other memeber said it's now our duty to MAKE SC take longer vacation (more than two hours!). So, when we get to one week at least, I would like to suggest SC to come to Europe, maybe to Italy (but also Germany would fit for this). And bring your car! Over here you can drive a lot faster than in US. Think about it Derek. (With your car in two hours you could travel almost 300 miles, and we have almost no police on our highways!!!) See you in space!
  19. I missed it!! I had to setup my new pc, and had some trouble connecting to Internet!! Hope to make it for the next one, which looks also very important!! See you in space
  20. SC, I was one of the few lucky ones who pre-ordered the game and got the large map too! Anyway, it is already a great reward to have helped you, and to have my name in the html page with the translation!! Thanks SC! See you in space!
  21. Ok, done! Translation complete! I added two comment in (* *) brackets. Maybe there are some spelling errors, sorry for those. -------------------------------------------- Ok, translation is online! [ 12-17-2001: Message edited by: Stephanos ]
  22. OK, very positive Review here. It's a little critical with the sound and graphic part of the game, but it says that BCM could be considered the Game of the Century for its playability, gaming depth and interaction (page 2, bottom). The guy who did the review looks like one who red the forum threads. I think that after such a review many Italian Player will order BCM!! SC, I confirm it's a very positive review!! P.S. If any of you guy want a translation I could post it in this thread by tomorrow! Let me know! See you in space! [ 12-17-2001: Message edited by: Stephanos ]
  23. Yes, IT IS Italian, then it's my language. Let me read it and I will post a comment on it.
