I fly the bc planetside all the time (to give my crew a rest) and as for landing i find the best way is to give the AP the halt command and let it slowly sink to the ground. You will take some damage(no more than about 5% on any system) but it is a safe way to rest up your crew when you dont have heavy damage to repair at a star station(or you think that is a "cheat"). As for getting space bound, you just have to fly straght up un till it goes to space, useing the afterburner of course. ------------------ Cmdr. HEHE, on my running game the, uh, "gost" station flew right off the tacops map(headin back home to gamula i guess). well ill send it, but for some reason it doesent move anymore, just sits there. i do have it saved right when i first found it but it dosent work on that one eather(guess the grimlens went home). the station is GAMULAN!!! from the alpha gama system, planet mantisi. but that dont explain y it is sitting by the jump gate in Lanix V-Zelana and its race/caste is terran/raider...LOL [This message has been edited by cmdr Keeling (edited 10-15-2000).]

LOL LOL LOL, this is not a question, its just a FUNNY glitch. Ok there is a STARSTATION named sovar that just randomly generated in zelina. Its just out there in the middle of nowhere!!! And here is the realy funny part, IT FLYS AROUND LIKE A SHIP AND CHASES NME's (hyperjumps and all) i can even order it to defend bc (with fc&c). LOL LOL this is the funnest thing i have ever seen. I used it to take out 2 other starstations (formidible weapon). Im not asking how to fix it (i dont want to) i just wanted to share so ev1 else could laugh as hard as me. PS. i was already leaning that way, if i even join a fleat that is. i cant even stand the acm thing so im not sure im cut out for a fleat. if i go with a UCV ill be eather a raider or a trader, if trader i will i will buy from the galcommy and resuply the insurgants. I know stronium is VERY unstable but i have never had an explosion. As for the shuttles crashing, I have had shuttles take damage from, hitting the ground, i guess. One way i know of (and the way i do it) is to give the order for all shuttles to launch and then tell them to fly to the planet, then i switch to and extract all drones one at a time. It takes longer but if you do it fast u dont take any damage. as for null space, the only way i have ever "jumped" into it was by hitting a nme ship when it hyper jumped. Oh well i hope that helped (hey, look at me, helping for once, YEAAAA!!!!). ------------------ Cmdr. I have had this game running for about 2 game days and the pilots stats have about doubled from there inital values. I know that they dont change because i wrote down all the stats of the pilots and last time i lost one i watched and the stats were slightly higher then my record. on the other hand the officers stats reset when there cloned, i got hit hard enough to kill some one on the bridge ( quick tip: watch your shield!!!) and i was surprised and dissapointed to find that the, uhh, anomaly did not carry over. Oh well i guess this time the gremlens are working for me. ------------------ Cmdr. I did read the manual and i should have made my self more clear, I have been watching the stats(AI, DF, BA) after i clone they stay the same as they were. i was just wondering, when ever one of your pilots of officers dies and you have to clone them does it affect there AI(DF and BA also for pilots). I was wondering this because my stupid pilots keep ramming there IC's into there targets and its starting to get redundant. ------------------ Cmdr. thanx. Yall were right today (monday) i checked it and it had 35 fighters 3 crusers 5 shuttles and 10 transports. when on saturday when i capped it it had only 2 shuttles and 5 transports. Im gona have to stop posting the second i find something wrong and be patient, Im tired of feeling stupid. BTW, Im thinking of joining a fleet (prick... my blood is in the watter)

What they said as far as acually capping a station. What i need to know it what to do after. I am playing a game as a raider and earler today i captured ss velary(something like that) orbiting around polar2. neway my question is, is there anything i can do to give it more ships and or missles to replace the ones i killed so that it can protect itself from attacks without me baby sitting it.

when i look in tacops at earth (or any other planet) and go to observe i see nothing but those little mission zone boxes and when i zoom in, still nothing. are those tag boxes suposed to show up on planets? and if so do i have to turn them on or something? I am running 2.09 with the map pack and no cheats.

on a related note i was wondering if you have to have fc&c befor you can capture stations. i recently went on a gammulan killing spree (wiped out the entire gamula star system) and i forgot to try to capture any of them. btw. in that gammulan run i went from cmdr. to str.cmdr.(hehe :-)) ------------------ Cmdr Keeling UCV Constellation

I hav been meaning to ask this for a while but havent got around to in. Wheres the moon in the earth region, i see the "to moon..." jump gate but it doesent work, even with the auto pilot. I can find the moons of all the other planets just fine but not on good ole earth. HELP!!!

I recently got v 2.09 to work on and on my first new game i found out something the hard way. I decided to take out the insergant base in bernards star system. The attack on the base went off fine (about 25% damage though)but when i went to engage all the fighters ect that were still in the area I RAN OUT OF RADINE!!!! I this fuel consumption normal and im just used to running for a month on 200 radine ( in v2.00)or is this a bug.

nevermind, i dont need help any more. I decided to uninstall and go through the whole process once again ( for the 10th time i think) and for some reason it all works fine now. Now one ask me how i did it, I dont know how. ------------------ Cmdr Keeling UCV Constellation

WOW!!! i didnt expect a reply that quick. any way here are my system specs. mb: asus p5a w/agp sound and video hd: 15.5 gb, 7500 rpm cpu: amd k6-3 400mhz cdr: 40x max i have agp/pci sound and video so i dont get the digital sounds just the midies. and my vidio id not 3dfx (i had a voodoo2 but it @#%% up and i had to remove it).

Is there a way to skip that opening "3000ad" screen w/o geting in the game first or going through dos. I have v2.00 and i patched it up to 2.09 and every time it starts it displays the 3000ad thing and crashes back to the desktop. thanx in advance.
