  1. Frankly i voted "i don't care" 'cause i figured if Derek's gonna ship it, it probably doesn't have any fatal bugs. They ,Derek and DC agreed, to ship UC that state. However DC decided that the're gonna release the game and i think the're not the experts on UC. Why shouldn't they wait a few weeks the're not many games like this anyway. I still remember Hasbro and Gunship! i was really looking forward to this title. My order still stands but maybe i'll need to buy from 3000AD directly or something. 2. on medium detail 25-35 FPS average (SU-27 training) about 20 FPS on high detail (you need a powerhouse for this: A10 training) drops below 20 till 15 with guns effects, explosions, trees (low level flight). BCMG is a lot faster like a 110 FPS in action it could drop to 48 FPS. I downloaded some benchmarktools AquaMark III and Codecreates. I checked Tom's Hardware. Just send me a mail what you wanna know and i'll send you some specs.
  3. You just reminded me to call a friend of mine who's in a similar position. Lost his job some time ago. Hope you find something soon ( and everbody else in who's in the same situation).

Altho I wish the campaign was as deep as Falcon 4. (which I still play btw) Seems like alot of people are having problems getting it to install/run properly tho. So far, I hav'nt had no problems what so ever. I think Derek's strict policy of keeping ones computer in tip top shape and keeping everything updated, cleaned up ect. ect., alway's helps with all other games, obviously. Ahh yes, just another bonus of being a part of this great community. Just got it this thursday. Have been playing it all weekend. Got me an other vidcard or it wouldn't be fun (got the ATI 9600XT, the 9800 Pro is still bout 400 euros). Like the A10 mavericks (TV/IR) and the F15 Radar. Home-On Jam and TWS features are cool. Good game.
  5. Looks great!!! Love the scenery, trees, models. I'm really looking forward to my copy of UC

Depending on the sales of the game, I may spend time creating an export plugin for the freeware Milkshape3D modeling tool. ...in other news, I am talking with Caligari about supporting their GameSpace extensions. This is a cheaper alternative to MAX and more professional (and with more options) than MilkShape3D.

  9. Maybe u mean this; " The Time Signature is 4/4...which means 4 beats to the measure and the quarter note " say Time Signature is 4/4 (1 sec each for example) 1 filled note (black) - 1 beat (1 sec) 1 open/non-filled note (white) - 2 beats (2 secs) But the word "worth" ?
  10. LOL, think they should stop using internet if they knew DNS, NIS(+) etc are using master/slave servers as well. I think the "kill" command and the "zombie process "should be removed too. Or how about this. This sounds sinister "ORPHAN PROCESS" Definition: A Unix process whose original parent has terminated and which has become a child of "init(1)".
  11. yeah, noticed it. Pretty sad have to scratch that one. My list of "wannahave games" is getting pretty short.
  12. Awesome movie!!! It's really cool to see the teamunits stay so close and folowing closely. Great stuff!

Guess you actually need to read mail and not assume it's just an auto-reply. [ 11-21-2003, 02:38 AM: Message edited by: Mano Faber ]
  14. Just ordered mine. Been busy lately and i moved to a new appartment. Hope i'm in sync again with you guys.
  15. Dunno most stuff is handled by the BIOS why change the jumper? it was already on 333FSB (default) when you change it's fixed to 200FSB Try setting the manual mutiplier in BIOS and FSB insted of AUTO selection. It supports AMDs upto 3000 on all BIOS versions it should work i guess. http://www.asus.com.tw/support/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx
  16. Thanks , but it seems my profile doesn't match by beta ptrofile. Will update this tonite. Got a XP2600+, ASUS 7X-X board and 512MB.
  17. Cool stuff. Tried the A-10 and got shot to pieces by the zoo. The game is more demanding than i thought on my XP2600 didn't run that well. Not sure maybe i already need an 8x AGP card to replace my ti4200. hmmmm.
  18. Did anyone check the LO-MAC demo yet? I'm dowloading it now. It's 125MB http://www.lo-mac.com/ [ 10-02-2003, 01:37 PM: Message edited by: Mano Faber ]
  19. Like to read a lot but it depends per month. Just started my 2nd year playing guitar that consumes some of my time as well. Try yo balance it recently read; Bush at War - Bob Woodward Every Man a Tiger - Tom Clancy Foundation's Fear - Gregory Benford Stalin - Edward Radzinky Stupid White Men - Michael Moore Some books of some writers i never read before just to see what the're like (Kafka, Nicci French) Some Dutch literature and some philosophical stuff
  20. Besides the BC series this is one of the few games i'm really looking forward too.
  21. I always had Chaintech boards in the past they where always solid. Mostly have ASUS boards now though. Just got myself a basic ASUS A7V8X which is was easy to install. Just an hour and everything was working fine. Tried a MSI KT4 Utra board with tons of features but lost 1.5 day trying to install that board and removed it and replaced it with the ASUS one. Was planning to buy the nforce2 but didn't because of the MSI board. Had to swap boards because i had the ECS K7S5A and i bought a AMP XP2600 for a nice price but this boards supports AMD XP2600/266 with a BIOS upgrade and not the AMD XP2600/333 which i just bought. It has a fixed multiplier (ECS). I think you should go for the nforce2 though. 22. Some Awesome shots! Hehe , check the shots and you'll notice this; "Neo dodges bullets where Derek dodges missiles." He's the chosen "FPS/Strategy/Space Sim programmer" one . But if he's Neo then who's Morpheus (Let's check out the devteam )
  23. Ive been playing A BF1942 Mod (Vietnam). If you own BF1942you should definitly try this one. They say only 10% is complete but it's a fine Mod already. Units: UH-1, riverboats, MIG-17, F-105 Thunderchief (i think). You can get it at (145MB) http://eod.bfcentral.com/alphalink.htm
  24. Don't know what to think of it really. It's not bad but... i dunno i'm still puzzled. quote: Originally posted by Fractux: . I think that a lot of people disliked the mass dance scene, and the sex scene, but I suggest you watch the animatrix series. For all the crazyness and disorder going on, it`s the same kind of wierd feeling you get watching the second renaissance. The human emotions, the pounding music serving to make a big contrast between being a human being and being a machine and all the crazyness that goes on, be it right or wrong. I was thinking the same thing. I recall when i was watching the scene i was thinking "how does this fit in, what's this suppose to tell me". humans know the meaning of passion, the matrix does not? Maybe it means nothing at all. Like $ilk said i have more questions after i have seen the movie. Maybe that's good.
