Those are my two favorite anime.... *grin* XP1 is gonna rock BC! Especially with that random ROAM mission generator. Just pop into a station, read the pinboard, take a mission, and--boom--you've just landed yourself a job. I could just imagine the possibilities..... That'd finally open the doors for a true mercenary career. Damn, I almost feel inspired to make an Outlaw Star or Cowboy Bebop MOD.
  2. quote:Originally posted by R_wilco: But seriously, I'm not even sure you CAN get that probe out of obsidia, my attempts have failed...maybe you'll have better luck. But take something BIG. Have you tried kicking the transporter? How about hitting your Tactical Officer with mind bullets (look around the net for "Tenacious D") until she forces the transporter to beam it in?
  3. What happened to all my Indie rights campaigns back in the day? (I'm sure Outlaw remembers.) Like This? I may be with GalCom, but I still watch over the Indies like an older brother. And if/when I get around to making a second AE (like those Gammulan/GalCom or Insurgent crossover guys), it'll be an Indie. Wait and see, gentlemen. We may start another picketline in front of the UFN building.
  4. quote:After recovering from these losses and placing prisoners in the brig, I began a survey of planet Stargazer. I am uncertain what caused it, but my Tacops computer wouldn't function correctly, and any vessels I attempted to send to the surface couldn't be controlled adequately. I, too had experienced that TacOps malfunction in my vessel at first. It was corrected in the v1.0.03 patch recently issued out by GalCom (and all newer patches). Hm... I still have yet to file my reports.
  5. www.3dchipset.com"Drivers->Nvidia--Beta->Detonator 4--2x.xx Series->22.80 Beta Detonator--(Your OS)" http://www.3dchipset.com/drivers/beta/nvidia/series2xx.shtml Enjoy.
  6. My friend is trying to convince me to get this game...... Saw the site and all, but I can't exactly afford it ATM. Hm... Aw well. Still waiting for BCO, anyhoo.
  7. *grin* Ferigad is using Jerold Keenan's pic. We've got another identity crisis here!
  8. Good to see you, Outlaw. Go register on the BCC Boards right now. That's where the party's at now.
  9. Appendix->artifacts.html quote:Some artifacts such as the HSD, ENM, PAD and TMCD, all have indicators on the BridgeViewer. When these artifacts are in your cargo bay, they are green and when all conditions that deem them operable are met, they are light green. quote:It creates a menu of regions on the Bridgeviewer in TACOPS where the desired destination can be selected. Simply click on the HSD symbology on the BridgeViewer, select the region and the ship will be sent there.
  10. quote:Originally posted by Roberto: All I can say is... Where can I pre-order!!!!!! WOW what a list! I hope you have time to impliment it all SC, cos this game is just going to knock all other software titles off the gaming chart! *grins maniacally* Yessss........ Pre-order.... Must pre-order.....
  11. OMFG! Woah! Grand Scheme, indeed! It's like leaking some BCO stuff to us, but not even skimming the surface of BCO! And dude, that huge feature list! (And thanks for listening to some of our wishlist items wihle you were at it (selecting multiple units in tacops and such). ) [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: Cmdr Nova ]
  12. quote:Originally posted by Guardian452: SC, I know the patch deletes saved games, but does it mean that 1.0.0.4 RC1 saves are incompatible with 1.0.0.4 Final? (I backed up my saves in case I could use them) Thanks No. (Or at least I doubt it over 90%.) The digital signature check for save files was added after RC1.
  13. Yep, I don't know if it's some runover with the cheats, but there won't be an icon that shows up, like the appendix says. Just hover your mouse to the very left of the section that says "Loc: xxxx". You also need to have your officers at the proper AI levels, remember.
  14. quote:Originally posted by Guardian452: Nova, In the Appendix I noticed that the pitch for the STS Firestar is 10. Is this missing a 0? The appendix on my site? Um... Yeah, it's outdated. It's the one that used to be available for download; back in the BCM Demo days. I haven't had the time to copy all of the new files to the server. Sorry for the confusion.
  15. I don't either, but IIRC, it was removed. The files are still there for the chatter, but you just can't hear it. Either that, or I'm having a problem, too. Haven't given the chatter much thought, so I just now noticed it.
  16. Out-of-game, it would be possible. (RP) Like attatch a nuclear warhead to a conventional missile. But you know..... Why not try and position yourself so that your OTS's flight path to the planet, brings it straight into the heart of a station? Crude, and probably won't work, but who can blame me for talking?
  17. *stands by airlock controls* "Over here, Nimbus..."
  18. That story brings up one memory, from my lurking days.... A little dilemma with one quote from an old GalCom document, created back when even I was around..... quote:The Rules of Engagement are clear against Insurgency targets, and this applies to one of our own as well. Terminate with extreme prejudice. Guess the AI hasn't learned the new Rules of Engagement yet..... Some RP-based topics of interest would be here, and Here.
  19. The 2280 drivers, although Beta, are pretty stable. You might want to try those--it's worth a shot. Most of my glitches/CTD problems were solved by using them. Download them from 3dchipset.com here. (Make sure to click on the Row/Column that corresponds to the 22.80 Beta Detonator, and your OS.) [ 01-03-2002: Message edited by: Cmdr Nova ]
  20. LOL! Blades and DeSylva! And wait---Avatar 137 is Jerold Keenan.... I knew I knew that face! (How 'bout 130, Jerold? Who's that? That was your zip file, wasn't it?) Our very own FC Savage and DeSylva avatars....... Who wants to be which? (I could be Blades, Jerold could replace DeSylva.... JJ Could be Jerold..... *bwahahhaha!* ) (PS - They're Blades and DeSylva. Those are their forum usernames, plain and simple..... Wouldn't want some identity crisis to occur.... ) (Edit - Avatar test... Noticed Jerold's pic, more misc stuff like that...) 21. Fluxfield = Greenish-Yellow color Wormhole = Red-Purple color That's the way I remember it.
  22. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Which is why I have a timer in mp that throws you right off the damn platform. Good idea. That's exactly what many of the most popular Tribes/Tribes 2 mods did. Of course, that still doesn't help when you've got an enemy camping right next to your station.... *laughs maniacally*
  23. Heh. Now we've got to get working on those Fleet/Battle Group logos back at Orion.......
  24. The next game in the series, BCO, will be a MMOG. It will be based on the BCM engine, but heavily updated and modified to fit the multiplayer world. TheBCO FAQ may have some info for you too look at if interested in a non-military caste. (i.e. skill system, reputation system) You can trade as a Scientist/Explorer, and if you really want EP, then tow enemy capital ships to a station. The "bounty hunter" method. It gets you cash and EP. Nova, over and out.
