Dang it! I knew I had seen this before! What's the file size of the patch? Chavik and I had that problem once. Turns out that we were trying to patch with a file that had dropped some bits in the download. File looked good but was, I think, about 60 bits shy of a full load! Kept giving us that same message when we tried to install the patch! For reference, I just downloaded the 2.0-2.08 patch. I'd recommend that he un-install, start from scratch, and configure his initial install. Run the game and use the Cntl+V keys to see exactly which version he has. Then report back with the results. I played it just fine with my 400mhz K6-II processor, but like the man said, I had a Banshee Card and that more than made up for the difference. Graphic Acceleration is the key, that and RAM! Insurgency, Now Hear This!!! We've done extremely well in the Beta Registration. I'm proud of each and every one of you that will be included in the Initial Beta Testing. My hearty Congratulations to each and every one of you that made it so far, and to those that didn't make it, my condolences as well. My solution to this quandry is the following: 1) I'm moving Akira up to Insurgent Two and assigning him the task of "Ministre Of War." 2) Jester now becomes Fleet Leader of Bishamon Fleet and is hereby promoted to Rank of Vice Admiral. Pending any objections from the SC, This will become effective at 0001Zulu-09Oct00. Additionally, I charge each and every Fleet Leader within the Insurgency to scan their assigned personnel and find those that have been accepted into the Beta List. Upon finding those personnel, please advise myself of your findings. It is my intention to promote those personnel below the rank of Captain up one level. Example: Commander Echo is now promoted to Captain Echo, effective Immediately! I also want to issue a special "Welcome Aboard" to Commodore Picaso. Try cycling the F1 key. That will reduce the amout of bridge view being processed and provide some much needed relief to that processor.
