Captain Dread Well said. I couldn't have said it better my self. Peace loving leftists drive me totally nuts. At least to me they appear want to be neutral. I think many of them are afraid that the war will escalate into WW3 and eventually end our way of life anyways. The sad thing is it may be that we are damned if we do and damed if we don't. The only thing we know for sure is if we don't do anything the terrorists will not stop. Our great country will not go down with out a fight. If we don't support Isreal then more than likely there will be a war. If Isreal loses we would see a repeat of what the Germans did in WW2. Isreal would use thier nukes before that would happen. Is that what we want? I don't think so. The US supporting Isreal is actually preventing or at least delaying a major war. The terrorists will not stop. We will not stop. Someone must be put down. The terrorists do not have the means to defeat us. Thier best hope is that by us attacking them they can rally support from the other Muslim nations. All of the Muslim nations working as one against us would have a chance against us and Israel. That's what the terrorists want. The terrorists lack the means to wage a conventional war. They are attempting to get it. Fortunately for us we have good diplomats and a president who can keep the peace among our Muslim allies while still wage a war on our enemies. No matter how much one would like it the fact of the matter is there is no backing out now. We are in this for good or bad. Ravonaf

Menchise Have you played civ3 yet. That game can set a very good example of the current state of the world. Even if the US laid down all of it's arms the majority of the muslim world would still think we were attacking them. It's our culture that they hate and fear. The kind of peace it seems that you advocate would requir us to lay down all of our arms. It would also require us to give up all interests in the middle east. It would require new laws that would control the spread of our culture. Even then that would not stop some middle eastern country from attacking us just because we are infedels. We need those things you would have us give up to secure our way of life and our place on this planet. You seems to have a lot to say but now real answers. I don't claim to have all the answers either. Unfortunately the only way to ensure real peace is through force. I'm not saying we should kill all of our enemies. But that would be the only way to secure real peace. It takes 2 sides to fight. Completely elimate one side, problem solved. Before one side loses though it usually gives in and we have peace for a little while at least. Two have a semblence of peace one side always has to lose. They say we have no right to defend ourselves. They say we should negotiate. Sorry to burst your bubble. But these people only want war (the terrorists). $ilk President Bush's Executive Order was put into effect before we new any Americans had taken up arm's with the Taliban. I'm pretty certain Americans have been tried in Military Tribunals in the past. Bush can change his mind. All that aside we couldn't even convict OJ with a mountain of evidence. How in the hell can we convict this traitor of treason with little to now evidence. He was with the Taliban way before 911. No laws broken there. We have no witnesses saying that he fired any shots period let alone that he attacked US troops. What are we going to do. Bring Northern Alliance troops to the US to testify? If we can't try him under a military tribunal my guess is he will walk. Sadly it would be a bad political move to try to nail this scumbag. Where does it say just because he is a US citezen that he can't have a military tribunal. He took up arms against his own country. It is a military matter. Not a civilian court matter. He didn't break any US laws. US law doesn't even apply to Afganistan. Even if it did, good luck proving he broke some wishy washy US law. I keep at leat 1 marine on guard duty in each Shuttle. It seems one of the intruders almost always heads for the shuttle. I also keep a contingent of marines on search duty at all times. During one memorable encounter when my beloved ship was boarded. A pesky intruder decided to charge the bridge. Before I realized what had happened my AE had been injured (down to 53%). The coward then decided he was going to flee. He managed to make it to a shuttle (Where I had a marine stationed). But I had forgotten to turn off launch control. The intruder was able to steal the shuttle with my marine aboard. I watched the shuttle fly around for a couple minutes while monitoring the battle in perscan. Imagine my surprise when my horoic marine was able to kill the intruder and then fly the shuttle back to the CC. The brave marine was awarded a medal and promoted to Sgt. Ravonaf

Hello SC and everyone else. Before I start I would like to say I am extremely pleased with BCM. I own ever version of the game going all the way back to the beggining. To this day I will never buy another take2 game (are they still even in business?). Anyways, on to the important stuff. Windows XP Pro(With all the latest updates) Athlon 1gig processor 288 Megs of Ram (Upgrading to 512 very soon) Creative Sound Card ASUS A7V Motherboard Nvidia GeForce2 GTS (64 Megs Ram) (V21.83 downloaded from Nvidia's site) Pre-patch I am able to run the game fine. Post patch is when I run into problems. I never ran the beta patch. When I run with the new patch the game crashes to desktop after I select a new game or I try to load a saved game. I've uninstalled the game and removed the install directory. Reinstall with out the patch and the game works. I install the patch and it's a no go. This is also a freshly loaded OS (less than a week loaded). Any help would be great. Thanks Ravonaf p.s I made sure to run the patch from the directory that the game resides. SC I know the 2 local EB stores in my area pulled thier displays back during the summer. They had nice big display boxes back in July. I've been to both stores within the past week and I don't see anything. Maybe it's something you could bring up with them. Then again maybe it's just the 2 stores in my area (Newport News and Hamtpon VA). I thought you might like to know. Ravonaf
