I thought both the Single Player and MP were pretty good. It looks amazing with a GF3 and the options set high. Still, I think I'll probably end up enjoying Medal of Honor: Allied Assault more when it comes out.

So far, I'd have to say the Stormcarrier is my favorite. The Firestorm comes in second though, mainly because I like the decent forward firing arc the its turrets have.

Nope, I installed the patch correctly. I just restarted from Canaan again and went to Midae without any problems this time. Guess it was just some weird fluke. Oh well, thanks anyway. Edit: Also, earlier today I installed the latest VIA 4in1 drivers, and got an upgraded Det driver (not the latest 23.11, due to the disabling of some features I like to have on). The constant, crippling crashes I reported on getting after about half an hour of play seems to be gone. About 3 hours of play in one game so far, and only 1 CTD and 1 freezeup (Just random I guess). Alrighty. I just installed the 1.0.02 RC5 patch, and got a very strange problem. I started a new game as a Gammulan Stormcarrier, and after upgrading, jumped out of Canaan to Midae. When I arrived in Midae, I went to set a hyperspace course to Arima, but noticed something odd. According to the jump points I was given in the CC orders menu, I was still located in the Canaan system but when I checked the planet in the system and the LOC on the left hand side, it was Midae. Attempting to use any of the jump points caused the game to freeze up. First time that's ever happened.

Well, I've been playing for a few days now, and I can honestly say I haven't had a game experience quite like this one, ever. I unfortunately missed out on BC3K, so BCM was a bit of a godsend. Although a bit of a steep learning curve, once I got used to it I was able to hold my own and start having real fun. In my latest game, I took my Gammulan Stormcarrier on a tour through Sol and Alpha Centauri, wasting every Terran spacestation on the way and finally ending up in Earth space. I managed to capture Galcom and Genesis within the first day of that career

It seems all my games come to a slow, wasting degredation of stability. I'm able to play for about an hour before I crash, but that's no biggy at first. But then I notice that when it crashes again, it crashes about 45 minutes in. It keeps going, until I can only stay in a game for a few seconds before getting a CTD. I've managed to capture a few by getting them really low on armor, and repeatedly turning my PTA from off to 10% power in quick bursts. I generally do just enough damage done for an SoS to get sent out.

After reading through some of those posts on that site, all I have to say is ... Good grief. What is wrong with those people? It's like they have a little religion built up, upon which they've named you their own personal devil. Talk about some people having way too much time on their hands.

Well, after looking through screenshots, and going through the game information, as well as reading through the first impressions, it seems I have a rather easy decision to make on whether or not to purchase BCM. Going to place an overnight shipping order on Ebgames tomorrow.
