  1. Wanna see something really scaring? http://www.dtig.de/whatswrong/ [ 03-12-2002, 19:24: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  2. Uhmmmm... very strange. Well, it's impossible VIA chipsets cause a lockup with Audigy. Can you try disabling ACPI in Windows XP? Put PC Standard instead. Set also PNP OS = NO in your BIOS config. Tell me if things go better. [ 03-12-2002, 10:14: Message edited by: Vanethian ]

  4. Hey friends, it's better than i thought Gorgeous!
  5. Awesome! Well, i still listen to vynils too and i prefer their warmer sound to the cold digital I've got also some 70's old synths and i prefer them to the modern synths. It's a pity i can't pump up the volume so much (except in my studio room but i've got no TV there). Other people in the residential building where i live would call the police But i'm selling this flat and in june i'll go living in a larger suburban residence in a near town. More relax there and freedom! I'll be able to do whatever i want It'll be hard to transport all my equipment myself but i don't want any transport company to touch my stuff! The only bad thing of this story is that i'll have to forget my ADSL line and get only an ISDN one. P.S.: Hey SC, i'm sure you put Aliens, True Lies and Eraser... 6. I only practice Boxing. I don't think you would have a chance against a good boxer. No "bruce lee tricks"... just a good blow in your face. Goodnight...
  7. Happy Birthday! i told you in another thread but i repost it
  8. She is also very very sexy! Maybe some day i'll let you meet her!
  9. Read here: http://www.agitator.com/dp/statements.html It could be a good new starting point for the debate. I can tell you that even if i'm against death penalty i don't agree with all the statements in that doc.
  10. quote:Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Death penalty bad? Well, the potential for mistakes exists. But I'd rather have the guy dead than in prison for life on such a mistake, (That DOES happen). Cheaper for us. Easier for them.I think a civilized world cannot tolerate death penalty. In a death penalty world, there would be no difference between the rules of a mafia group and a civilized society. In the first death penalty is for enemies (enemy families) and in the second it is also for enemies (dangerous people for society). Al Capone would say: i got my boys and USA President has marines... where's the difference? This is why we must solve the problem in a civilized way. There are other penalties, severe penalties that could be applied instead of death penalty. And, as Kush said, death is too easy a punishment for some. Criminals must live... and pay.
  11. Hello friends! I'm against death penalty too. Death penalty is something that still bond modern trials to Middle Ages cruelty and later Spanish Holy Inquisition: an illogical ferocity act. [ 03-07-2002, 07:02: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  12. AVP2 is amazing! i completed the marine campaign (it's easier than the marine campaign in AVP) but i didn't play AVP2 in multiplayer. But last year i played AVP in multiplayer with known friends and i enjoyed it very much. We used also Roger Wilco for communications... very cool!

  14. Hello friends! I'm producing my first dance single album and it will be published by an italian label in the next months. I've composed the music and wrote the lyrics and the band performing the tracks is called "The Move Of Bass". We've got also a very good female vocalist. The album will contain 4 edits of the song "No Calls": The club edit, a dub edit, an instrumental edit and a bonus edit with the voice of a well known italian deejay explaining (through a funny story) why the title of the song is "No Calls". You can listen, if you want, to the club edit demo. Being a demo, it is only half the lenght of the original recording and there are beeps every 20 seconds for copyright reasons. It's the only demo i'm authorized to give to the public. But it is a good demo to feel the sound and the rhythm! Here's the link: No Calls (Club Edit) Demo [ 03-06-2002, 10:13: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  15. EA sent me a 15$ birthday gift (11 march is my birthday!). Well, what do you suggest me to buy in their stores?
  16. quote:Originally posted by Riga: I agree with Epsilon 5 on the skybox though. A bit too rich for my taste (subjective )Too rich? you are telling everyone here that you don't like the skybox because it is TOO RICH?!?!? Please, find another reason of your disagreement because this is not a disadvantage of the skybox. Think another one, uh?
  17. quote:Originally posted by Epsilon 5: IMO it would look a little better is it was a little more darker, not like before, but somewhere between. That's just an opinion, and that way it ain't bad.Epsilon 5... next time put "IM Humble O". Peter has done an impressive job. Sometimes i don't understand you guys. You always complain.

  19. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: I don't know about you - or anyone else - but I'm not particularly part of the bandwagon that thinks a gamer is supposed to thank God that the developer supports the game. No, it should NOT be that way. You sell a game. Someone buys it. You are REQUIRED to support it. PERIOD. END OF STORY..No, i don't think a gamer is supposed to thank God for game support. But "support" can be mediocre, or bad, or good, or awesome, or exceptional. I mean that there are many degrees of quality. Yes, a developer is required to support its games. But is a quality support? Gamers wanna know that.
  20. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Online web reviewers can afford to waste pages on crap not worth reading; padding it with fluff and nonsensical horseshit because they have the space to do it in.Fluff... nonsensical... horseshit. Ok... tomorrow i'll tell my chief at Multiplayer.it: "Hey Boss, ever thought we write fluff, nonsensical horseshit? Cool, uh?" I'll post here his answers... it will be funny I know i'll never change your ideas but gamers often send us (reviewers at Multiplayer.it, and i'm proud to be a web reviewer, but i'm sure you forgot that) complaints about bad game supports. It is not so obvious as you think. Gamers consider it an important factor when they wanna buy a game. It is not crap. At all. [ 02-28-2002, 20:46: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  21. quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: oh lol, dont get me wrong vanethian, i was by no means criticizing you at all, and hopefully you didnt take it as such. i was just stating that i have been a longtime subscriber to CGM and find his reviews to be spot on 98% of the time.LOL! ok...
  22. quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: i kind of figured denny atkin would do the review. afterall he did the "pre game warmup" a few months back, and did a good job then too. I didn't tell he is not a good reviewer. I think his review is one of the best. I'm just saying that... being so good his review, it could have been perfect IF... etc etc etc. That's all It was not a critic. I liked the review a lot. 23. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Dunno what that has to do with anything. Games are expected to be supported and should bear no relevance to the review whatsoever.Well, games are expected to be supported only on the chart Remember me another developer so dedicated as you when releasing patches and fixes. I don't remember where, but in another review of BCM the reviewer talks about this aspect. And a reviewer consider many factors when reviewing a game... and it depends on reviewer. Some factors are considered more important than others. IMHO the serious support is a positive factor. It was not a critic, at all. Other reviewers consider mainly other factors, i consider much more the overall project and ideas than the nude code... serious support means ideas continually evolving... a never ending project Well... don't be so humble, Derek... you deserve the glory! You are making a great job! [ 02-28-2002, 18:19: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  24. quote:Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Wow, Rick Wakeman, there's a name I haven't seen in a bit. He solo again? I'm a fan of Yes, and Wakeman's early solo stuff as well. IdahoGood! Then you should check "Two Sides of Yes" from Legends Records! It's a cool album where Rick (along with Alan Thompson and Tony Fernandez) revisits the music of Yes. It features also an enhanced video track for PC. [ 02-28-2002, 05:05: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  25. Weather Report rocks!!! I love fusion but i listen also to Synergy, Arkenstone, Richard Bone, Amin Bathia, Peter Bardens, Tim Wheater, Ray Lynch, Rick Wakeman... practically romantic new age, space symphonies and cinematic soundscapes And what to tell about TD and Schulze? I still listen to them... i've got some good old vynils and they play so good you can't imagine. If you think that being a modern composer oblige you to appreciate only digital... well, you are wrong. I still continue to prefer vynils. They've got a warm sound and high dynamics. And sometimes i prefer my Allison One old good speakers to my hitech studio monitor speakers Well, this is probably also because i'm mainly a classical composer than an electronic one... i love Moussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakow. Does "Night on Bald Mountain" tell you anything?
