Im pretty happy with my Logitech Wingman Extreme. It was cheap, around $30 and is pretty sturdy. I am regrettably on my second model because the first didn't like being immersed in hot coffee. It does however only have seven buttons. To config I pick the features I most want and assign 'F12' to any extras.

I named mine for Tolkien, it means dark-elf in elvish. Or literaly dark-speaker (quendi being the word for speaker and elf interchangeably). Mor being dark, used also in Mordor, morgul, etc.

I guess it will have to do until they release the original on disc. Why they have to redo it instead of update it ,like Next Generation was to the Star Trek, is beyond me. Will have to borrow someone's cable soon! [ 12-10-2002, 04:05 PM: Message edited by: HiPingScoba ]

Ive been able to get shuttles off the ground by adding an extra waypoint in their initial orders. IE. waypont 1=deploy drone, waypoint 2= proceed to next. This doesn't seem to work as well if you add the 2nd waypoint after the shuttle has already landed. I have a similar problem towing disabled ships. My shuttle will go to the disabled ship just fine, but will not respond to a 'deliver to' order.... **DELETED** [ 11-10-2002, 09:01 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Something is causing the ships to not RTB (cruiser). They only get so close and then stop.

Is there a definitive list of what agp cards can harm motherboards using the intel 845 chipset? Three volt agp cards can apparently harm the motherboard. The manual that came with the board (MSI 845E) suggests that changing the voltage in bios to 1.5 volts is enough, but an included flyer says that even combo Agp2 and Agp4 boards can cause harm. The manufacturer sites (video card that is) states that most of the new cards can be used in either a 3 or 1.5 volt mode. What I am worried about is accidentally harming the board. I realize that this is a hardware and not BCM specific problem but I think many of the hard core gamers here might have definite answers before I install anything.

How does Red Dragon compare to Manhunter?

Birds of Prey was pretty suave, if a little excessive with the computer animation. Is 'metahuman' DC speak for mutant? Was Catwoman herself one in the comics or just the movies?

My .02 galcreds: Firefly looks good, I suspect they will have some late season reason for arming the ship. CSI: Miami is pretty good, in no small part due to the scantily clad Kim Delany. I sincerely miss Space Above and beyond, that was heartbreaking to see it go, especially as it was getting interesting. I also miss my Dark Angel, truly sad to see it hit the trash bin. I'd like an "Attack of the Clones" mod. The object would be to drop hundreds of clones of Resnig on an enemies surface, telling him to help them to the 'best of his ability.' He could blend in and bring down their society purely through his own incompetence.

How does the 8500 compare to the g4 ti 4200? I am looking for the best performance in the $150-$200 dollar range.

I got it the other day. Seems very hip except for the slow intro/instruction chapter. Particularly like the use of the Atari label, it brings back memories of old tabletop D&D days, back in the 80's when it was still a little mysterious. Am attempting to start playing with old gamer buddies online, many who live out of town. This game could be huge with the toolset included.

The demo is oddly compelling but is Diabloesque enough to make the controls a little difficult. Are the graphics in the actual game much better? It seems a little old school polygonal to me. This could be very fun to mp on a custom map! Will have to pass as my next purchase will probably be Jedi Knight (unless Xp arrives soon!)
