  1. BFV is excellent except for a few issues. There is currently al ot of lag on MP servers. Also the Americans M60 is way to accurate and powerful, it results in the majority of Americans carrying the M60 instead of the other kits. Its accurate enough to snipe with. Hopefully these problems will be resolved in a patch.
  2. Great game! The improved graphics are astounding. I also miss the old speed control using the 1-9 keys.
  3. 1. Err, where is the VCF? Is it the one under BCM Gold? 2. I would be happy with even a semi-funtional game sooner, however it would also be nice not to have to patch and perhaps lose any saved games.

  5. I for one am really looking forward to the new ease of use revisions. This may be battlecruiser heresy but I think an easier interface will improve my enjoyment of the series. Besides I can always fall back on BCMG if I want a more harcore sim.
  6. Just ordered mine! I just got off of a strike 2 hours ago and this is my first luxury purchase. Although it could be considered a neccessity among th BC community!
  7. I'm on Emerald server, New Conglomerate character KhelbenDrachenfels. I too found the NC to be the most insurgentlike! It is a truly addicting and fun game as well as something to do while we wait for BCO.
  8. When MP arrives should we register with our forum name or our AE name?

Did you know Aragorn and Arwen are related and that Arwen is Galadriel's granddaughter (as well as being her 5th cousin)? Read the Silmarillion and you'll find out how. I'll second the other Tolkien books. Especially the Silmarillion, which, though a tough read, is probably my favorite Tolkien book. And thanks for that info on Galadriel. I knew Arwen was related to her, for some reason my mind was stuck thinking Arwen was her daughter. Well, it HAS been nearly 20 years since I read it. Idaho I believe if you look at hte genealogies in Return of the King, you can trace the Kings of Gondor, including Strider/Aragorn to a common ancestor with Arwen and Elrond, I think thorugh the Beren/Luthien line. 10. I would suggest: 1. Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (Don't read all ten in a row, it will drive you batty!) 2. Song of Ice and Fire by George Martin. (Like the Wheel of Time but on amphetimines) 3. Fortress series by CJ Cherryh 4. The first three Shannarra books by Terry Brooks 5. Anything by JRR tolkien 6. Various liscensed products: a. Dragonlance by Weiss and Hickman b. Forgotten Realms novels (Drizzt Do'urden and friends) by RA Salvatore. 7. Dudes who should pay the Tolkien estate royalties: a. Riftwar novels by Raymond Feist b. Anything by Dennis Mckiernan. c. Arguably Terry Brooks, Weiss and Hickman, Salvatore novels essentialy any Dungeons and Dragons setting. 8. Black Company series by Glen Cook, hard to find but griity and dark. [ 02-03-2003, 12:38 PM: Message edited by: HiPingScoba ]

In fact, I've stopped looking, and gotten down to the business of enjoying myself in the vasty reaches of space...and stuff. Nice work, SC, a thousand thank you's for your dedication to your vision. Idaho I also am crashless for weeks! Is it me or is the AI better? Marine careers seem much more challenging of late.
  12. I too get an access denied (forbidden) error. Is the forum down?
  13. I would enjoy a regular BCM multiplayer to use while waitng for BCM gold to arrive at my local retailer. I suspect there will be a large run on the title.
  14. I enjoyed the added material, the elves added to the battle, the extra time with faramir and all the Arwen/Aragorn scenes, particularly the dialogue that referenced the Silmarillion. Plus any shot with Liv Tyler in it is a good one!
  15. I guess it will have to do until they release the original on disc. Why they have to redo it instead of update it ,like Next Generation was to the Star Trek, is beyond me. Will have to borrow someone's cable soon! [ 12-10-2002, 04:05 PM: Message edited by: HiPingScoba ]
  16. Ive been able to get shuttles off the ground by adding an extra waypoint in their initial orders. IE. waypont 1=deploy drone, waypoint 2= proceed to next. This doesn't seem to work as well if you add the 2nd waypoint after the shuttle has already landed. I have a similar problem towing disabled ships. My shuttle will go to the disabled ship just fine, but will not respond to a 'deliver to' order.... **DELETED** [ 11-10-2002, 09:01 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  17. Something is causing the ships to not RTB (cruiser). They only get so close and then stop.

They also have trouble leaving a planets surface, will skim around at gorund level and not launch.Read the VCF Is this the same as the collision avoidance issue, in the VCF? Ships in space seem to avoid their targets, ie fighters or shuttles given orders to return to base, or jump at a specific gate, will get about 38 units away and then abort.
