  1. Fox__Trot, I think you need a game where you can play....as a Klingon captain. Idaho
  2. Oh yeah, Megaron and Sunflash, (with the emphasis on Sunflash!!!). Can't beat my slick little 45 second hyperjumper. Idaho
  3. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Well, I went to Sygan. Read this explanation I previously posted in Beta forum. quote: LMAO!!! Man, you guys are funny. I cannot believe you all fell for this!!! Sygan is mostly marshland, except where there is solid land or I deliberately placed a mzone on the terrain. Heheh SC, If that's what it is, sorry, it sure looked strange. I'd have to wonder why my OC vanished upon stepping out of it, but could still bump into it, and enter it. But you did say one thing, the bit about marshland: Here's the thing, ONE time, (and one time only), moving around the Tacops view, I did see what looked like water all around me. Maybe I just fell into a bog of some sort. Oh well, mystery solved, as far as I'm concerned. Hey Xierxior, maybe that base you're seeing is on the other side of the planet? Seems like a thought, anyway, if the game maps the planet as a sphere while you're on it. Either way, I think I'm gonna have a bumper sticker made..."I believe in the Sygan Triangle". 4. Heheh Thanks Nova...(And you too, Blades). Idaho
  5. Hey SC, Just wanted to say that I like how I can see HF now in Perscan, that's a big help in planning my travels. Cool addition! Idaho
  6. Yeah I found it. Couldn't delete the question I posted though. Heheh. Thanks for the answer though. Idaho
  7. Tac, Heheh, sorry, I don't know the name, case doesn't sound at all familiar either. Grayfox (and other fellow philosophical thread hijackers), You know, A friend and I were discussing this Death Penalty issue the other day, and he mentioned an episode of Star Trek: Voyager, where in some other planet's legal system, once a criminal is found guilty, the VICTIM, or their family if the victim is dead, picks the punishment. Can't beat that idea, if you ask me. Idaho
  8. Heheh, forget the question below, I found the answer for myself. I have a little question, this seems the place to post it, pardon if I'm wrong. I'm just curious, there are a few members that cannot be 'rated', (at least, it doesn't offer me the option here), was just curious if that's supposed to be, or a quirk? Along with that, some members ratings don't show. Pardon if that's as it should be! Idaho [ 03-07-2002, 14:55: Message edited by: Duncan Idaho ]
  9. I should have known it would be bad. And I just ate. I think I'm gonna be sick now. Idaho [ 03-07-2002, 14:11: Message edited by: Duncan Idaho ]
  10. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: ....I'm off to Sygan to investigate the Sygan Triangle Wish me luck.Heheh, wonder if it'll show for you? Gallion said he couldn't reproduce it. Best of luck! Idaho
  11. This fool reports your foolproof pathing works fine now. (Couldn't resist the wording). Idaho
  12. You're the best. Grabbing the new patch, (For the future, I'm actually all set). On second thought, I'll try it, good test, you agree? Idaho [ 03-07-2002, 12:41: Message edited by: Duncan Idaho ]
  13. Okay, SC, Did the proper patch to 1.0.0.6 (full), worked fine, it did delete those files. Uninstalled, deleted BC's folder, and reinstalled. Patched to 1.0.0.7 (full) again, those files remained. So I can confirm that, at least for me, something quirked out on the patch 1.0.0.7 full. I did as you said, created the batch file, ran it, problem solved. (Thanks for posting it up, I'm in the playing mood heheh) Idaho [ 03-07-2002, 11:20: Message edited by: Duncan Idaho ]
  14. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: quote:Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: SC, What about 1.0.0.7 full? Reason I ask: It should do the same thing. I just checked it. Only the 1007_update patch doesn't do this, since the 1006_update already did. This could be one of those obscure OS issues, because I just tried it and it works just fine on my end. If you copy that code above and put it in a .bat file, then execute it from the BCM install folder, it will delete all the irrelevant files. I'm going to look into this some more and see if it is an rtPatch problem. Did you try the 1.0.06 (full) patch to see if it actually deletes these files? I'll be right back, I'll try it. Pretty sure it must have, because I didn't have the problem. I'll check to see that 1.0.0.6 did, then reinstall and see if 1.0.0.7 repeats the problem. Idaho
  15. Flak, LMAO! Well said. Especially that bit about 'torturing them'. This is civilized behavior? Idaho
  16. SC, What about 1.0.0.7 full? Reason I ask: I uninstalled BCM. I then deleted the whole 3000ad folder. I reinstalled BCM. I copied the 1.0.0.7 full patch into the Battlecruiser Millennium folder, then ran it, and it patched fast. I have those files, though. And just found out I have (had) the problem. I went to Genesis for the first time with 1.0.0.7, and it's messed up like the screenshots these two have posted. It's fixed now, but thought I should ask why those files would still be on my PC since I know I patched correctly? Idaho
  17. quote:Originally posted by Vanethian: Al Capone would say: i got my boys and USA President has marines... where's the difference? [/QB]Heh, funny you should mention Al Capone, he died in prison, after twentysome years of incarceration, of syphylus. You have good points, but all things said, not all share those opinions. Again, I'd rather die than spend a life behind bars, so my view is probably different than yours. There's the cost we pay to incarcerate someone for life. That's coming out of my pocket, (and yours too, I'm sure). Criminals get yet another chance to steal from us. And if you think about it, a true 'life sentance' with no parole IS a death penalty of sorts. Only way you're coming out of that prison is in a body bag. (prison breaks not counted). Anyway, again, next Tuesday I might agree with you. It's hard to have a firm opinion on something so weighty. Idaho
  18. Heheh, That's pretty bizzare. I have those files, but don't have the problem. Go figure. Idaho
  19. quote:Originally posted by Vanethian: Hello friends! I'm against death penalty too. Death penalty is something that still bond modern trials to Middle Ages cruelty and later Spanish Holy Inquisition: an illogical ferocity act.Heheh, Hiya Vanethian, Yeah, we humans are SOOO much more civilized today, aren't we? WWF, Bin Laden, Abortion, Abortion Doctor Serial Murderers, School Killings, movies, Somalia, video games, Afganistan (then and now for that one), Tom and Jerry, Israel vs. Palestine, UFO cults, Jim Jones, Waco, OK City, Jeffrey Dalmer, Nanny kills baby, mother leaves baby dead in toilet (dumpster, gas station), Son Of Sam, and that's barely touching the list I think. Hmm...maybe it's not so different today than it was before. Death penalty bad? Well, the potential for mistakes exists. But I'd rather have the guy dead than in prison for life on such a mistake, (That DOES happen). Cheaper for us. Easier for them. But then, I guess that's because I'd rather be dead than in prison for life. I'm NOBODY'S girlfriend. But all points in this issue have merit, I think. On some days, I'd actually agree with you on the death penalty. All in fairness. Idaho
  20. Me too, though the glasses never impressed me much. (Unless you count how impressed I was with their ability to deliver blinding migraine headaches in record time). Idaho
  21. Heheh $iLk, You said it! Me, I'm all for something like the old arena's, with lions, and stuff. Toss them in there, if they win, they get to fight again next week. (Of course, they mustn't be armed, can't have them harming those poor Lions now, can we? Animals have rights!) Forget the WWF, give us the Arena! Idaho
  22. It's a far greater crime to remove a man's (or woman's) freedom. Killing them just sends them back to the beginning of the line. (Well, at least this is what the Hindu's believe). I say just kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out. Please pass the popcorn! Idaho
  23. I did de-install and reinstall to get to patch 1.0.0.7. I did get back there last night, it still happens. But I agree, this problem isn't worth bothering with, it's not in an area of any importance, and since my description did no good, well, I'm staying clear of it. 24. Heheh, maybe it's the 'Sygan Triangle' or something. I tried going back there, (new character, new ship, new patch heheh), but I died in the process. I think it'll be another night of hard play before I can go there and survive. I never saw the base, other than in your screenshots, but I did see the 'hole' effect, where you appear to be beneath the ground, on another level of ground. Pretty darned wierd, and damned hard to explain, for sure. I hope if SC goes there, he sees it right away, so he doesn't think I'm just loony.
