  2. Hey thanks a lot for the info! One great thing about BC is this forum. I just took out a couple ships and while I sit waiting on repairs another question has come to the surface. Is it, or will it ever be possible to reassign my ship's standard System Engineers to do work while docked at a starbase? Just wondering what my 20 guys are doing at the starbase while others, like the medical officer, are hard at work. =-- OrphEum --=

  4. Personally, I like debian. It has a pretty good installation guide for x86 machines here and the apt-get feature for downloading debian packages is pretty smooth. OrphEum
  5. Just wondering if there is a ship-specific list of possible upgrades. Also, the non-hostile professions of trader, diplomat, commercial and explorer... those mainly for future online play? Also wondering if there is a way, once probed, to see the surface of a planet in a sector you do not currently occupy. Not to be picky but it seems that after constantly having a few marines pilot my shuttles on mining runs they wreak havok on the SCs. I can't seem to repair them up to 100% unless i myself get in one, dock(starbase) and hit that nifty auto-repair button one gets when in a small ship. The repairs on the SCs in my CC always turn pinkish and the engineers leave the project at around 98%. Any tips on repairing SC's while en route between objectives?
