  4. Not groundbreaking in any way, but it's rather amusing to see someone's reaction to getting horrid luck throughout, when he finall gets power. The 'anal-dwelling butt monkey' scene, while rather disgusing, WAS quite funny. It is somewhat slow at times, mostly at the beginning and the end, though, you probably won't regret the money you would spend to go watch it. 7/10
  5. According to Tom's review of the FX 5900, it leaves the 9800 pro in the dust for the most part.
  6. From what you described, it sounds like it was an airflow problem in your computer, causing it to crash. Most of the time, an airflow problem is easily enough fixed - just add another case fan.
  7. Still lurking around. Don't forget those arrogant gammulans...
  8. UU's forum goons... Quite amusing. They start a thread utterly bashing us, and seem to be rather annoyed when we point out that game description is rather limited. How pathetic. They REALLY need to learn that this is a niche game, and that it's not for everyone. Saying more would probably start yet another thread over there trying to bash us.
  9. Tyrn, sorry to correct you, but according to the BCM VCF, having your EMD on will prevent boarders. quote: v1.02 RC9 - 12.07.01 Intruders will no longer board your ship if the EMD is on or you are in hyperspace Revised the inflation rate calculation. Good luck generating millions in Earth region Revised the mining drone mining logic. It now takes 400 mins to fill up completely and can mine up to 10 types of minerals (up from 5) Revised the radar (soundfxmisc.zipbeep16.wav) ping sound. Made it softer Added new RunBack animation subsets (about 70 new animations for all character models) First person weapon laser shots (e.g. Wristlaser) will no longer trigger shield/armor anims FIXED: In some planetary areas, the terrain height would shift, causing models to be in the air after viewing a model on a different map in the F10 camera view. This was most prevalent in the area where IA0022 takes place. FIXED: Sometimes deleting a profile in the Restore screen would not clear the screen of the deleted profile
  10. Heh, so DAOC screws chars too... Reminds me of when I played Diablo 2... I had an amazon who used a poison bow in 1.08. Along comes 1.09 which royally f***s poison. 500 damage over 30 seconds, to about 150 over 50 seconds. Most monsters had about 2000 HP at the levels I was playing at. I wonder how many other MMORPGs nerf stuff from patch to patch...
  11. Savegame sent. Thinking over it some more, it may be within the limits how many the station can have, but it is certainly more then a station should ever have. Especially less then an hour into the game.
  12. Seems the glitch of NPCs buying more then the station has currently & the amount rolling over to the max hasnt been fixed quite yet. 45 minutes into a new game, running BCM 1.0.08 final, New Frontier has ~1.2 trillion of various items in stock. While it's nice for stuff like radine & plutonium, it seems somewhat broken. Unfortunately, I don't have hosting space for a screenshot, but I can send a savegame.
  13. Still lurking... I'm probably going to wait till BCG, and get that, rather then get BCMG.
  14. Funny. However, the bird mentioned in the monty python joke is actually a swallow, not a sparrow.
  15. Running out of cash buying iridium, and running out of iridium when you're deep in enemy territory.
  16. The best you'd get on a Wraith -> GalCom trade route is a 20 percent loss on AG goods.
  17. Tried running BCM again, playing with a Nightstar. Turrets arent firing again. It's not a matter of firing arcs, or the PTA turret list being full - I was by Moon 4 in Rinaal, with about 14 objects in the reigion, counting planets, and jumpgates. I flew around 2 hostile fighters, for about 5 minutes, with PTA turrets on, with power diverted to them... and all the damage I noticed was 14 points of shield damage to one of the fighters. There was NOTHING besides the moon, myself, and those fighters in the general vicinity. This can't be a fluke.
