  1. Level 20 and a Telvanni Master, Getting ready to do a quest thats supposed to give my tower Dwemer Animunculi Guards. So caught up in this characters life in House Telvanni that I have barely done anything with the main storyline. If all the character permutations get even close to the complexity of a Wizard in House Telvanni, then I will be playing this game for a long long time... and that just the basic game, not including all the wonderfully imaginative things that I'm certain other players (and me) will create with the Eldar Scrolls Construction Set. After much thought, I am seriously considering putting this game on the throne as the Greatest Fantasy Role Playing Game of ALL time. Up until this point, that position has been held firmly by a little known game called The Dungeon. It was the second in a Series called Alternate Reality. The First being Alternate Reality: The City. I just have never found a game that pushed my buttons quite right... Closest was Ultima III: Exodus, The other Ultima's were OK but I felt III was a stroke of genius in the midst of a fairly good series. I require a bit more thought though... Alternate Reality might hold the throne by sentimental value for an unfinished series. I think I will hold final judgement till I finish the main storyline of Morrowind with at least one character.
  2. Up to level 15 now... I am a Telvanni Wizard, Master of Tel Uvilith (sp?) Wielder of Umbra and Chrysomera, Dremora Lords tremble at my approach, Storm Atronach's Cower at my feet. Step Forth, if you seek my favor. Or flee, lest your soul power my next trinket... Heh... Ok.. I'm better now. Man I love Morrowind
  3. I miss acoustic modems.. Wonder if I can still screech a handshake
  4. Got the game the same day I posted above been playing it ever since... Aside from a view quirks; head getting stuck on rafters inside shipwrecks, a few crashes probably due to storms recently (I hope), an error in the uniform armor for Imperial Legionaire (Which I got past by killing a Legionaire and taking his, go figure) ; The game is a dream... especially compared to daggerfall, (I half expected similar problems) I am currently playing two different characters... the Imperial Legionaire ( level 7) and a Wizard who has become a member of house Telvanni and has worked his way up and will be a Mouth soon (They are the council members in the big ball in Sadrith Mora, if you didnt know) ... (level 9) He is all decked out in all manner of self enchanted magical items from a ring of levitation to a staff of firestorm... Next on my to do list is an Equisite Robe of Flame Atronach summoning... Love the spell, gotta have it in an item. The Wizard is much more difficult to play but is immensly more satisfying. I'll try an assassin or thief next if I get bored with these two. Well enough of me rambling... I have a 1.6 ghz 512 ram with a 64mb geforce 4 and the game is smooth with max options on all video stuff at my monitors maximum rez which is 1280 x 960 ( I dont see a way of displaying fps in the game)
  5. Is multiplayer still going to be released soon? Been a while since the last post. I've been trying to be patient, playing Morrowind (great game) but my Greedy FreeTrader Sci-Fi side is starting to take over and I cant fight him off... much... longer...
  6. ok... going to have to get this one.. picked up Arena the day it hit the shelves... got daggerfall about a week after it hit the shelves... (yeah daggerfall was a nightmare but I still loved it)
  7. Interesting discussion... I HAVE noticed a trend through this topic which I must say is rather disturbing to me. The United States seems to be getting painted as the poster child for capitalism here. I would like to point out that, like any sturdy structure, a tree must bend in the wind or it breaks... this idea was familiar to the founders of this country and has not been forgotten. The US is NOT a capitalist society. Capitalism is an idea as is Socialism. Both are quite visible in the US. No Society could survive for long using only one set of Ideals. The U.S. , because of of its form of government is particularly adept at "bending in the wind" In short, what I am saying is that a Capitalism VS Socialism discussion seems a bit odd to me... its like a tall vs intelligient discussion. IMHO , the discussion should be, "What can be accomplished by blending Multiple Ideals together" [ 05-16-2002, 23:47: Message edited by: James Micron ]
  8. Nah... I gotta disagree with you SC ... I walked out of that movie saying WOW... see my episode two post on the other topic for this... Jar Jar didnt even seem like the same character in this one in my opinion... ( ps... I liked episode one, Jarjar and all ) Before the stoning commences... The romance had to be there for the storyline... I WILL agree on Anakin though... I would have thought they would have gotten a higher caliber actor for the main character in the whole series. or at least worked with this one more to get better expressions out of him... some of his poses and glares reminded me of Zoolander. But the movie was great. ok.. now you can start throwing the stones.
  9. ok, thats scary... just noticed that you are from Florissant Nova.... I saw the movie at Jamestown Mall... where did you see it?
  10. Saw it at 2:00 this afternoon... WOW... Seeing it again tomorrow I think. I dont understand what people can dislike about it. Once again the Star Wars Series has proven that it is the King of Sci-Fi on the silverscreen... Hands down. Very few movies make me want to be there. I can honestly say that this Star Wars movie will fill my dreams along side BCM for some time to come.
  11. James sat back in the pilots couch as the auto pilot guided the shuttle into orbit above Earth. He tilted his head back, gazing up into the bluish crystal he played between his fingers, remembering his fathers words... "One day, I'll be too old for this and you'll have to take over the Void Angel" that was just 5 years ago but it seemed like a lifetime. His father never grew old, he was killed by raiders in a ship bearing a black scorpion in a red circle. That was just a month ago. If he only had stuck to trade routes watched by Galcom. "You might be able to earn a living for yourself and your crew on the 'Safe' routes..." his father had said once upon a time, " but the real money is made off the beaten path... Meet the right people and learn when to run..." "I guess he didnt live by his own rules" James said aloud, still playing with the crystal. "Pardon Sir?" replied the flight engineer in the shuttle with him. "Nothing" answered James, pocketing the trinket. "Nothing" James watched as his fathers, His, Jenstar grew larger in the window until he could make out its name "Void Angel" Emblazoned in black and gold upon the ships hull. As the shuttle docked, James thought to himself, "LEARN when to run. KNOW when to Rip their f***ing throats out." The last part coming into his memory of that conversation that he had forgotten. An odd twisted smile blew across his face as the shuttle doors swept open revealing the Interior of the Void Angel and her bridge crew. "Everything alright on the trip Sir?" asked the Medical Officer upon seeing James' odd smile. "Yes, Everything is good." he replied, killing the unconscious smile, as he walked past the bridge crew and out of the shuttle bay. The bridge crew glanced at each other with knowing expressions. Finally the Combat Officer mumbled, "Well, He always said he would find someway of coming back to haunt us if we let him die." an odd grimace appearing on each of their faces as they filed out of the shuttlebay...
