  1. Well, howdy! I was lookin at yall's Ideas about music. I'm a partime musician here in beautiful downtown apache junction & I can honestly say that after I do one of my gigs, the last thing I wannna listen to when I blast off into batttlecruiser land is to listen to normal, 3 or 4 chord, predictable, popular music. If you really want to expand your brain to something other than the usual mush that the various radio stations & media b@#$@#$!! shoves & brainwashes everybody to listen to... try some decent classical music. Please don't tell any of the biker dudes that listen to the usual mush that I sing & play in my one man band act that I suggested anything that might be creative, they'll tie me to their harley's & drag me down apache hwy!! For a great battlecruiser experience(like a movie soundtrack that is original to your own unique senerio, I might suggest some stuff from a fellow who conducted my high school band back before George Washington crossed the delaware(my spelling ain't so good because I spend too much time with women, wine & bad lounge music). Anyway, try using..... Mahler's 3rd Symphony, Holst's 'The Planets', Smetena's 'My Fatherland' Beethoveen's 6th, 3rd, & or 9th(It's great if you've had too much Arizona Payotee), & Brahms 2nd Symphony(I like a lot of really loud brass parts) Dvoriak(misspelled)'s 8th, 5th, & 9th symphony's are really dynamic background stuff for blowing away the bad guys in space. Aran Copland's symphony #3(I hope that's right) has a cool brass deal in it called the Fanfare for the Common Man that'll blow the socks of anything that was ever written for the movie scores. Whew!! Damm... It's hard for an old dude like myself to recommend anything other than 'REALLY OLD STUFF' But... most of our popular music(& I can say this cause I made my living doin' music for about 20yrs.) is really based on the classics. Sh@#$@#$@!! Almost forgot. Bach Brandenburg Concertos.... Technical stuff... but sergeons(misspelled) listen to it when they put people under the blade... Laser fire might get more accurate in the Battlecruiser world... who knows?? Ok... gotta go... My lady(I call her my boss) is gonna get pissed if I ramble to you young'uns' for too long... But when you find a good classical piece that's the real stuff(not the watered down crap that you hear in a lot of movies & TV show's... you'd be suprised how much of a mind expander it can be.. Battle on & use your savy to conquer the bad guys & terrorist bas@#$@#$er@##$ds that ruin life for the rest of us... Sincerely, Ralph (the OOOOOld dude)
  2. Howdy guys! Thanks so much for your help & advice! The game works fine now & on high res as well!! Resnig is still knocking on my airlock door outside of my Megatron battlecruiser! Maybe I can tow him & use him as bait for the insurgents? Gotta go now, & collect another 900million dollars & nuke some bad guys! See ya'll later! Ralph
  3. Howdy! I was having some trouble with the game hanging up when trying to restore my saved games. I am using a dinosuar soundblaster live card. I read the troubleshooting suggestion about adding the -xo or was it -x0? to my shortcut command line and hopefully fix this problem. Trouble is, I'm a bit of a newbie & I wasn't quite sure how to go about doing that? Could one of you computer geinus guys tell me a short step by step way to add that line so I can get my 2month old resnig guy pushed back out of the the@#$@#$!!! air lock??? Thanks a bunch! ralph(the old guy)
  4. Thanks for the prompt reply Tyre! I eagerly await the new patch!! GReat Game!!!
  5. Howdy Is anybody out there having trouble with their commlink in Battlecruiser Millinium Gold? When my commlink told gave me the option to clear its full memory, the game crashed. I've started new games in both the Roam & Campain modes & the commlink will not allow me to clear its memory. Help What Can I do to allievate this problem??? Thanks guys!
  6. Howdy Again folks! Any chance for a padlock view to follow those wild & crazy bad guy targets around? It'd really help an old tunnel vision guy like myself to zero in on his targets. (My arthritic thumb gets a might tired tring to move my Saitek POV all over the galaxy!! Thanks, Ralph (the depends wearin' fly by the seat of his tired old pants pilot fella)
  7. Howdy again folks! Does anybody out there know how to keep the fighters 'close' when they are supposed to be escorting the CC? I went off on mission one & things were going fine until... my Escort fighters decieded to go and try to take out a star base 500000000000km away that wasn't even attacking us!!! They blowed up real good. REEEEEEll good! Are the fighter's AI levels +20 or ------20??? Anyway, does any a you city boys know how to tell these Resnig support fighter bozo's of mine to really 'Escort' when I tells 'em to escort??? Help me please!!! & Thanks for ya'll's time!! Sincerely, Ralph (the old guy)
  8. howdy folks! I'm an 'intermediate newbie' with bcm version 23/beta24 & I was hoping someone out there in BCM land would help me figure out how to run the BCTE module within the BCM game. I've been able to run it as a stand alone game(it looks fantasic & I can't wait for the full version next year!). In the BCTE manual it states that the BCTE module is accessed at any time by selecting the command options within BCM. BUT HOW do I do that??? I unziped the BCTE file into BCM several different ways but it still didn't work. Is there a specific command line that needs to be typed in at the BCM config file that will activate the BCTE spawn file? Please Advise & thank you for your time! sincerely, ralph [ 11-08-2002, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: ralph ]
