Although I am a healthy eater, I am not a vegetarian. I have no problem with anyone wanting to be a vegetarian, but it can create problems. For instance, my son's friends parents are vegetarian, and therefore my son's friend is as well. I assume veg. parents raise vegetarians. Makes sense. But what happens when my son invites this kid over for overnight? I need to make special trips to the store or for takeout. Labor Day weekend I'm cooking on the grill because thats what Americans do on Labor Day. No? I had to make a special trip to Papa Ginos (northeast pizza chain) to get this kid a pizza. Then I'm out the next morning getting him a bagel. Kind of annoying. Pizza and bagels is all I have ever seen this kid eat. I don't see how thats a healthy diet.

From the demo (Homeland Security CMDR IA mission), I could never keep the damn New Yorker alive long enough for it to carry out its mission. Staying alive myself was no problem, but once the New Yorker jumped into the Mars region, it was toast. I even tried pulling the reds away from where the New Yorker jumps in by jumping to another gate beforehand. I have to revisit that mission now that I have the full game.

I get either a crash or the video corruption in the first screenshot above every time with the following ATI settings. I'll try cycling down to the 5.7 drivers.

I loaded the save game 10 times and it crashed twice. I did nothing, just let the ship fly through the wormhole.

I received my copy of UCAWA yesterday. I now have 4 copies of BCM/BCMG. Ahhh, the memories. And I keep all the boxes, so I have all of them including the silver 1.0 box but not the BC3K v.2 box. I'll have to keep an eye on Ebay for that one.

Congratulations to the SC for getting another product out the door. Now that I'm back in the country, its time I place my order for UC:AWA.

For any of you guys that have control of an IT environment in the workplace, here's a fun one. One of the more naive workers was on a bathroom break so I snuck over to his computer and changed his video rotation option to 180 degrees. The guy called me when he got back and explained his problem. I told him it must have been a virus from hitting porn sites and I had no time to clean his system until next week. I walk by his desk and he has his monitor upside down. Fun fun. Anyone have any other IT pranks?

pkware/pkzip? Awww, memories of those DOS command line days. No disrespect intended. They are the fathers of the genre.

At some point in a recent version, you have to wait for the "days installed" counter to count to the current day before the "use evaluation" button became enabled. That was the day I stopped using that version (9 perhaps?). I cycled down to version 8.1 or something. So, I still use it. Old habits die hard. And I could give a rats a** about getting another nanosecond decompress time using another app. Winzip or bust!!

Any impressions on this monster?
