  1. Pulled out one of my favorites from the nineties, Counting Crows: August and Everything After and ripped it to my Dell Axim. I just picked up a new CF card, so I need to load it up.
  2. I'll see it just to see Jolie in motion. I assume she's hot in this flick? Yes, I'm shallow.
  3. I see Russell Crowe is acting up again. The guy is one great actor, but man, does he have issues. I'm not sure if I would rather be his lawyer or one of his victims. Both are getting rich off of him.
  4. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Thanks for your support through the good, bad and ugly times. Even for a $19.99 game, I think we've done good, instead of abandoning it. Yeah, I'd say you done good. There are subscription based MMOs that are not supported as well as this "$20" game. Good work.
  5. LOL, that was a nice subtle shot at DC by Mindscape. This made my day. Maybe a few more Mindscapes in the industry could turn things around for PC gaming.
  6. You never mentioned what version you are running. The difference in performance from the initial retail release (1.01?) to the latest release is huge. Performance on planets is much better. Your driver information in your profile should show actual version numbers. "updated yesterday" becomes quite inaccurate when we get to, say, tommorrow?
  7. I saw it today. I love Sandler's brand of humor, so I liked it. Not his best, but still entertaining. Chris Rock was on top of his game as well. I'd say 7.5/10.
  8. Well I originally was thinking I only needed UCAWA, but I'll also buy UCG for the additional scenarios. The amount of entertainment I get for the money I spend for these games is ridiculous. Its criminal. Bring it on.
  9. quote:Originally posted by Masefield: It's a real shame -- good adventuring RPGs are tough to come by. Yup. Except for maybe Bethesda, the industry as a whole is pouring their dollars/efforts into the same old tired Everquest formula.
  10. quote:Originally posted by Masefield: DC closing the forums is disrespectful to both customers and the devs.Closing the forums is the easy way out. The hard way, and right answer is to actually moderate the damn thing.
  11. Sounds like a cool concept. But like B&W, I'm betting it will never live up to the hype it is going to receive the next 6 months.
  12. Man, I'll be pulling hard for the SC to come damn close to his vision with the release of BCNG. Good luck SC. Nail that puppy.
  13. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Actually, contrary to what I posted last night, only the full UCAWA version will now be available for retail or e-commerce purchase.Does this mean the full version will not convert the UC ACM/IA scenarios for use with UCAWA? I'm really liking the new engine. I've been playing the demo so much, I'm starting to think that protecting the New Yorker is my primary goal in life.
  14. Microsoft got schooled by Sony today. But with that said, I remember all the pre-release hype Sony generated for the PS2. The machine never lived up to it. Console wars. Gotta love it.
  15. I'll play the game when they are done patching it. BTW, those Dreamcatcher forums are some of the worst I have seen. Someone needs to create a forum tool that can filter out garbage based on some viewer defined ruleset. Hey, I can dream.
  16. Ok, I've been away from UC for a couple of months. I finally got around to trying out the UCAWA demo 1. I just played the first IA scenario (IA0101). That was one awesome firefight after entering the Mars region. Way to go SC! The new engine upgrades are pretty slick. Everything looks polished. I'm really looking forward to the game's release.
  17. quote:Originally posted by Hellbinder: Now (and i am being dead serious here) we need a version of Universal Combat for it. Its not even debateable. A solar system or 2 and a handfull of ships/vehicles, some missions and free roam and multiplayer for up to 4 people duking it out on the couch. I'm just wondering if you woke up from your dream yet.
  18. I want this thing bad, but hate being raped as an early adopter. I'll wait for the first price drop or 6 months, whichever occurs first. Is the OS on the PSP, flash upgradable?
  19. I have not had any problems with the copy protection, but I am sure some have. I consider myself lucky. Regardless, the game is a pretty amazing sim IMO. I'm still messing around in the Naval Academy.
  20. I just started playing. Initial impression is WOW! The game seems to be everything that SH2 should have been but also wrapped in some pretty impressive graphics. Its not perfect, but a major step in the right direction. And this is just from messing around in the Naval Academy (tutorial) for a couple of hours. It lacks friendly AI based uboats so no wolfpacks. The campaign seems promising and it has what looks like a powerful mission editor. The copy protection sucks. It even verifies the disc when running the mission editor. Paranoia is running rampart at Ubisoft.
  21. And to think you have been giving away all those annual updates as patches all these years. Look at Madden. All they do is add a new feature or two, update the rosters and tack it all on the same engine. What a gig. A license to print money.
  22. Hey... a noob that actually read the "Read this NOW!" thread before posting. How rare. Welcome Excalibur, you're off to a good start!
