  1. Thanks for the response. I'll get there eventually!
  2. Hello again, I purchased a reactor upgrade (Lattex/NB) to replace the basic Lattis/NB which I believe is jumping the inter-level Megatron. The CC's system engineers didn't install the upgrade automatically so I attempted (unsuccessfully)to find a way to order them to do it through the Tacom and Logistix computers. My questions are: 1) Can you jump levels of upgrade? 2) Is the upgrading done by the CC's engineers automatically in their own sweet time? 3) If they have to be ordered, how does one do it? TIA
  3. Thanks, Emmett. I solved the surface scan difficulty. The problem began with the manual P30. The wording could be improved (that from a technical writer). Going back to the probe question. I launched another probe and gave it an order to jump to the next region. The order was displayed in the NID/PLS and the TCO/probe order menu. However, the probe remained outside the CC at zero range and its reflection on the TACSCAN was a fluttering, unstable icon. Any idea what that was about? Also, I couldn't find the VIEW PROBE REGION command on the probe orders menu in the TCO as it is (badly) described on P23 of the manual. Could you be more specific on that? TIA
  4. Thanks, fellas. I've gone on and now I find that I can't get a SCENE map of a planet surface using the ZOOM without going below 50 miles and plunging toward the surface with the CC. Left clicking the mouse past a point on the global map results in blackness. What is the drill for stabilizing near a planet and having a close look at what's there? TIA
  5. Hi folks! I'm still in the training academy testing everything. Here ar a few questions: 1. After launching a probe, I click on the Tac Ops comuter as per P22 of the manual to "Select Probe Region" option. I can't find the option. (?) 2. I can approach the STS Wayfarer without difficulty but trying to get the AI to fly to the ODS and the Ter/Mil supply Station results in a meanering route around the local area turning and twisting. How come? 3. In the CVD Systems Status Relay (SSR), the ship's systems appear in a faded red colour. P26 states that sytems in red are destroyed and inoperable. Mine are all 100% okay. Why the red?
