MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- Forget the small-town belief in letting bygones be bygones. The star of "The Andy Griffith Show," who portrayed the sheriff of the fictional town of Mayberry, has sued a Wisconsin man who unsuccessfully ran for the Grant County post after legally changing his name to Andrew Jackson Griffith. Oh boy.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Actor Jack Palance, who won an Oscar with his comedic self-parody in 1991's "City Slickers," died Friday. He was a good actor and will be missed.

Exactly and most of the democrats that did win the new seats are conservative democrats so there's going to be democratic in fighting as well. Wall street just loves what's happened.

Kerry Sorry for 'Stuck in Iraq' Remarks
LostInSpace replied to Kalshion's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
quote:Originally posted by aramike: quote:I have no clue what he's apologizing for because he's right. He's not right in any way, shape, or form. You're not "stuck" into going into the military if you do not do well in school (which is what he SAID). In fact, the military probably won't even take you under those circumstances. You're right. I'm pretty sure the military has gotten pretty tough in that respect. -

This is what I was waiting for: Kerry apologizes for 'misinterpreted' words Now it's no longer a joke that went bad but misinterpretation. -

quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Anyway, he's right. If you don't want to be drafted (or end up in) into a pointless war, go to college. Simple enough I think. Actually, I find it's a bit more complicated than the way Kerry put it. You'd have to examine the social economic reasons why that's true. I know a lot of people use the military as stepping stone to get to college. Either because they don't have the funds nor the family to afford college. Then you'd have to examine what is the cause of this. Then you have the people that go into the military because there are no other opportunities for them in the civil arena. Then you just have the people who just plain drop out of high school for one reason or another. -
I was going to but I was waiting for him to hang himself more if that was possible. Hilarious picture.

Maths theory bags lotto jackpot

quote:Originally posted by Adm. J.P. Hanson: Oh, please! You gotta love it when people who have no clue about mathematics think they can devise some sort of "formula" for the lottery. Almost as bad as a Philosophy Prof. trying to make a mathematical proof. Total bullshit.... We'll have to wait and see if they can do it again soon. -
Arrested Due To A Database Error

I would too. Pity the guy hasn't yet from reading up on the comments. FTC fines are well and dandy but that don't put damages into the actual victims pocket does it. The government just gets richer on the backs of these poor victims. -

I don't blame it. It was only hired for a 90 day job and they've turned it into a never ending slave. -

quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Microsoft clarifies Vista activation to bit-tech hacks Hmmm, so much for that. If I'm reading that right and want to just fresh install Vista, I can do it only 10 times? Well that just plain sucks. I reinstall OS's more often than that just to refresh it.

Lik-Sang 'forced to close down' by Sony lawsuits

The average joe isnÔÇÖt going to care about their attitudes to their customers, but theyÔÇÖve been making plenty of enemies of avid gamers who follow the news, and have essentially offended an entire territory. That just doesn't make sense from a company perspective. Unless they drastically change their attitude they'll be the next big one to fold. This pretty much sums up the feeling all across the internet on this: http://makeadecisiondamnyou.ytmnd.com/ -

quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: uhm, no. Most people won't even think of buying something from someone on eBay in the US, let alone someone across the pond. Yeah that's true. But I did bid on a japanese playstation one with a box load of japanese games. The game list was fairly extensive and a really good collection. True, I'd have to learn japanese but then that's half the fun. I lost the bidding though. I go there from time to time and have never won a bid. -

I got the flu shot last year and still I still ended up getting sicker than a dog. Happens to me every year no matter what. I think I'm coming down with something now. I got a burst of energy yesterday (which is my usual MO before I fall flat on my face) and I didn't wake up today 'till 3pm and I went to bed early. I'm starting to sound raspy and a slight headache. Damn, I'm not looking foward to this again.
