  1. I think he might be refering to the New America Base, guys . I could be wrong though as that is the only thing I can think of thats under the ground. Well, under the surface of the asteroid anyway. Please correct me if there is something else as I would be intrested in knowing about it myself [ 02-11-2002, 16:56: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  2. Its funny you should mention that problem. I managed to get it to work for about 30 seconds last night All I did was attack a ground base, then after I beamed in another person, the buildings I destroyed became transparent, as they were supposed to. Mind you, as soon as I moved the camera (I was in tacops at the time) the buildings went back to how they were. Im keeping my eyes open though for 'leaked' drivers that may fix it. Opps sorry, off topic. Lets keep this on topic guys *slaps himself* I should know better than that! [ 02-11-2002, 08:38: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  3. Yippeeee! I know what Im gona do this weekend!!
  4. I would love to try my hand at it SC. With docs or not. Im always up for learning something new.
  5. Did you check to see if the Integrity was at 100%. Im assuming your running the lastest patch. Errrm I just noticed your other post above which was edited by the SC. This isnt a bug reporting area, so if its a bug, and not something you think you just overlooked, please post it in the relevant area. This area is not for tech support.
  6. What I would like to do is to take part in a 'real' rescue mission, just like the one in Instant Action, but the people on the ground are other players. It would be fun to join a group of people, working together to get our comrad out in one piece while other players provide air support. 100% possible [ 02-05-2002, 14:22: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  7. He! I still have my spectrum! I wish I still had my ZX81 though. That was a fun machine to have! 1K memory, and boy, those games, who can remember what the games were like with only two colors (black & white). I still remember the 3D monster maze I had on a tape. Any one remember the tape drive that came out for the spectrum? And the printer that needed special silver paper since the ink was inside the paper? Boy those were the days...
  8. Gordon, I think he was refering to the IC, not the CC.
  9. NICE!!! Im looking forward to XP2 already!!
  10. Not sure about the cargo pod, but I know when your on the cargo screen, there is a eject button for ejecting cargo.
  11. Yes, this is actualy recomended for a lot of games out there. The less you have running in the background, the better! Some people dont like closing down virus killers and fire walls though (like me!!!!) and in most cases, its ok, but I have noticed that some games do show problems, or performance issues. BCM is recomended to have as little (or nothing) running in the background so you have as many free resources as possible for the game to use. It had been mentioned a few times in diffrent posts (not sure if they are all still there).
  12. Either that tac, or a command line option. That would work too. Ah well, we can dream, right?
  13. Actualy Fox, this is already so when it comes to the cargo bay (not sure about the weapons bay though). Ive had unsafe level of minerals in my cargo bay, and had a explosion because of it (oppps silly me!!!). I cant remember off the top of my head which two minerals react with one another. Just be carefull when your cargo bay gets dammaged as this has been one of my reasons for loosing the WHOLE cargo bay after an explosion occured! Actualy, now that I remember, I think I have seen this mentioned in the apendix in the section that shows what your crew does at diffrent AI levels. Take a look. 14. SC, are the minimum specs based on the server being fully populated, or is that based on a unpopulated server just running the game world with no users logged in? Also, is it possible to save the current state of the world on the server incase it has to be shut down for some reason such as maintenance. [ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  15. Yeah, it would nice for it to be that way Tac, even though I do the see the problem that SC stated too. Seeing less certainly does make it more interesting, mainly because you HAVE to set up fighters on patrol missions just to make sure the area is clear. I like that idea a lot since my fighters seem to engage anything hostile in the area, no matter where it is. Are the fighters supposed to do that? [ 01-09-2002: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  16. Turrets on a asteroid? No way!! Who would have thought about mounting turrets on asteroid to fend off attacks!! Ive seen the asteroid, but never thought about why it was there. Great idea! How many more secrets are there in this game? Psssst... any chance of hiding this thread so the insurgents wont know its there when they attack in MP?
  17. All I can say is... Where can I pre-order!!!!!! WOW what a list! I hope you have time to impliment it all SC, cos this game is just going to knock all other software titles off the gaming chart!
  18. Hey thats great new SC! I was wondering about the missiles myself! I didnt think they all had the same turn rate.
  19. I have got past it a couple of times. But I stop playing when the old patches were deleting saved games (because they were incompatable back then). I was just wondering about the violations thats all, and which missions cause them when you failed. Ive only just get back in to ACM again after playing ROAM for so long.
  20. Since we are on the toipc of ACM, I have a question for anyone who may know this... Do you get a violation for all missions failed? Or is that just for certain missions like the first 2 in TOD 1? I keep replaying the second mission since I cant get the Diplomat to dock on time. I guess that teaches me for choosing a slow ship to fly!
  21. Ive come across that too when the enemy marines dont shoot me. I had fun though running around shooting them all to see how long it takes before they notice me
  22. quote:Originally posted by Pery: Roberto, just post the steps and let another commander try to reproduce it. If we can, then the SC can take a look; no harm done (beyond the wild goose chase he already pursued). Thanks perry, I will post them after my lunch as I have to run home to get the steps I wrote out, since I am at work right now. I will send them as a PM (private message) [ 12-11-2001: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  23. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: 1.0.02 goes final tonite, so, unless I have a way of accurately 100% reproducing this, its not going in. You asked me not to mentioned this again unless some one else had the same problem as I did with the TTDs, which I have done by your request. And you mentioned above (in my quote) that you wanted a way to accurately reproduce this, which I may be able to help you with, if you will let me (I wont post the steps unless you say its ok for me to do so) The steps only takes about 5 mins to go through. I hope I can help in some way
  24. If you tractor it with your CC, then you can bring it aboard, providing you have power to your launch control, and also to the tractor beam on your CC. I think you can select 'DELIVER TO...' Option for your SC too, but I cant remember off hand without trying it out myself so I may be wrong on that one, but doesnt mean you cant try it anyway
  25. quote:Originally posted by Fractux: I'll get the persistent damage FX, and my shield plutonium level keeps decreasing. I started this new game with the 1.0.0.1 patch. If you do a search on this forum for comments on both the persistant dammage FX and the latest patch, you will find that this has already been addressed and fixed (See the Version Control File) This is the link to the 'latest' patch..
