  1. Well, IÔÇÖm 28, 29 at the end of next month, I live in a nice-sized house in a small village just outside Prague in the Czech Republic. IÔÇÖve been married for just over three years and have two small boys (Jakub is two and two months, Petr is one and three months, I should put some more recent photos up there). Together with my lovely wife I run a small translation company and most of our work is translating TV series, documentaries and films for dubbing from English into Czech, though we get to do various types of documents as well (letters, working regulations etc.) Me being originally English and my wife Czech means we have a native speaker at both ends and have built up a very good reputation for the quality of our work. We work from home, so we can be flexible with most things, but I have an off-peak only pay-per-minute connection (that may change sometime in the next few months, but IÔÇÖve been saying that for the last year or so ) which limits when I can be online. We only have one computer and use it for both work and play, but I have the funds set aside for a second one that IÔÇÖll buy when UC:HI comes out, since the price of components is coming down all the time, and by waiting another couple of months, I may be able to squeeze a little more into my budget. When that great day comes, IÔÇÖll be able to be even more active than I am at present (or be able to maintain other on-line interests more faithfully.)
  2. We'd be very glad to have you aboard, Lille, go to the fleets databaseand apply to join, then check out the forum sigs thread and add your system profile to your sig. After you've got your strength back, you can visit the fleet sigs thread and decide what part of the fleet you want to be in. Then you can make final adjustments to your sig and tell us a little about yourself in the Normal life thread here. (I should do that myself, you know. I guess tomorrow.) Sorry if that seems a bit much at once, I don't expect you to do it all in one day- take your time.
  3. Glad to hear that, Medivh. Look forward to flying alongside you. Well, we're generally putting the boys to bed around 6-6.30pm, which is 4-4.30pm GMT, and putting the boys to bed is really a job for two, if you know what I mean so it would need to be an hour later, or I could always join a little late. I was hoping to go over some multiplayer 'set plays' for the fleet, if you will, to get you all ready and sharp for likely match situations. That sort of thing is usually classified, so as not to give away our best tricks. We could always make it a more conventional exercise, getting to know each other, practising general combat and keep it open to others, and I could send you guys the tricks in a document by secure transmission. In any event, we're going to need an active Teamspeak server on Saturday at least.
  4. Well, I can basically arrange to be online anytime from 7am to 8pm GMT on Saturday without too much of a problem (I have to arrange with my wife so she looks after the kids if its at a time when the boys are awake, but she's very nice about that)
  5. quote: Originally posted by Shingen: quote:Originally posted by Marvin: I have no idea what the reasoning was behind Ben making the attack ... except that he hasn't lost a battle yet.) One death for Shingen. Ben Zwycky gets the credit. Actually, Ben was the only one is Procon at the time. From what Carl was saying, Denny and Dreada where on and off in Rovarix somewhere. Anyway, I waited for some time to see what Ben was gonna do, observed the shuttle location and set a waypoint during the wait. Finally, Ben jumped towards me, and being the cocky SOB I tend to be, I went after him. I couldn't even reduce his shields in a dead-on range and main-guns on target. The funny thing is I didn't explode in the game. I made planet-fall on Procon, but I was so badly damaged that I couldn't have done anything anyway, so I told Carl I was re-logging ( Hey Marv., does the log show that I made planetfall on Procon?). I re-loged, forgot to launch my shuttle again, and had Chavik launch one of his, NOT KNOWING that the mission was ALREADY over! Anyway..I owe Ben two now. Well, I was the only one in the region, with Shin being the key enemy target, me feeling generally confident and for other tactical reasons I decided to go after him and it paid off. During the long wait after the first kill, when we weren't sure whether the match was over or not, me and Denny practised some formation flying above the planet. I guess it's beginner's luck
  6. OK, so Saturday or Sunday Morning people? Or is 7AM GMT too early for some of you US guys? Let's get this defined well ahead of time so there's no confusion.
  7. I'll be there. Have to try and keep my grades up, you know . Any chance those ROE('s) can be distributed to the other fleets sometime soon? Yeah, Denny, you're the same timezone as me, GMT+2 in the summer and GMT+1 during daylight saving time, so it's 9 pm for us today.
  8. OK, I'm PM'ing it to you again, along with the Prime Fleet East teamspeak password
  9. OK, guys, I'm gone. See you tomorrow at the fleet tournament match I hope (check the fleet meets thread for the time)
  10. PM it to me too, Gordon, so I can have my guys ready 'n loud so that's the same time as it was on the 26th? [ 10-09-2004, 04:27 AM: Message edited by: Ben Zwycky ]
  11. Come on, guys, where are you? I've only got another hour at the most. If no-one turns up within the next 15 mins I'm calling it a day (so I can still take part in the tournament)
  12. OK, I just popped into all three servers to see who's around. Couldn't see anyone. I'll be in server 2
  13. but Remo had the fleet Teamspeak server too. tournament matches without teamspeak will be a little limited. Can anyone else host one temporarily?
  14. OK, then let's say 7am GMT tomorrow (we'll be there for an hour at least, so if you're a little late it doesn't matter) If anyone can get a teamspeak server up and running by then, PM us (me, Damier, Nick and Zane, anyone else in the fleet who asks here) the server name, IP and password. Look forward to meeting you guys, until then,
  15. OK, then that looks like something like 7-8am GMT on a Saturday or Sunday or something. Is that OK for everyone(? Also I forgot that 2.30-5PM on Sunday isn't possible for me. Also, just a thought, if we had our own small fleet teamspeak/mp server we could use that for secret training, so if that's still a possibility Jamont, that'd be cool.
  16. OK, Prime fleet server (and with it the teamspeak server and our website) is down for another week (Remo is moving house), the fleet database has been purged and there was a fleet tournament match on the 26th, at which our fleet imporoved it's overall standing (but I think you know about that one don't you?)
  17. OK, we need to meet up sometime guys. So everyone post what times of day in the week you are available for mp, and we'll see what we can arrange. I can do 4.30-7.30(maybe to 8.30)PM GMT most weekdays and am pretty flexible at weekends (Basically anything from 8 AM-8PM GMT, unless we have something on, but it can depend on when the boys go to sleep (usually around 9.30AM-12.30 PM GMT)
  18. I forgot about that, thanks. Somehow Sesshomaru, Stanley M. Archer and Patrick Smith had been assigned to wings, the four above have not. OK, taking into account the warning they have already had, Commanders Patrick Smith Sasshomaru Stanley M. Archer Guilherme Anavel Gato and Brown have been removed from the fleet database. If they are truly interestedin taking part in the fleet, they can apply again. I'm still awaiting a response from Jerold Keenan before taking any action there. He has until the end of the month.
  19. OK, I was referring to those who have yet to choose a wing, and Medivh has made his choice clear, he is in no danger of being removed from the fleet. I am of the opinion that anyone who has not posted in three months will be listed as MIA, another month after that and they will be removed from the database. Commanders in doubt are: Commander Guilherme Commander Anavel Gato Commander Brown These Commanders have not posted at all in these forums. They have been listed as MIA and have one more month to post before being removed from the fleet database. Commander Jerold Keenan has not chosen his wing, but he has posted in the last two months. He has been listed as inactive and I have PM'd him to advise me of his situation. That is all for now.
  20. you're already there in the fleet db
  21. Well, we have Rip's offer of webspace. We've survived so far without our own forums, we can survive another two weeks, what do you guys think?
  22. OK, I have edited the post above to correspond to the updated animations. Update your sigs accordingly. Those who have yet to choose your wings, you have 2 more days to choose, before being automatically assigned to Defence. I will make a note of those automatically assigned, and if they fail to post in this forum in the coming month, they will be removed from the fleet database. As you were,
  23. I have given the passwords to Damier and Zane. THey are not to pass this information on to anyone else without my express permission. Anyone else in the fleet may contact me for that info. Update your sigs with the new animated logos, people.
