  3. Damn, I thouht having to clone one of your 70+ AI pilot was the worst that could happen, but I think I take it how you feel. Don't have a clue about your particular problem, but you should really register your game in your profile before youknowho comes in and reminds you what you should and shouldn't do with no system profile information
  4. You can't conquer planetary bases, simple However, I'd also like to know more about these strange control and capture towers. They dont seem to have any ingame use atm, is there any plan to fix that?
  5. hey SC, did you ( or anyone) played the game/demo? I don't really trust game reviews (eh, most of them depict BC/UC as a whole piece of crap) and may consider downloading the demo if it's worth it.

  8. Well, I'll speak about my own experience, with UC:AWA and UC:SE (oh, and BCM). The speed of every space asset has been significantly reduced from BCM to UC:AWA (What? why is that Firestorm crawling at like 161 m/s?!) I guess that's your issue. Dont know if vehicle speeds have also been reduced. As for the NAV/TAC modes, you should take a look in the manual, it's likely to be there. If these boxes are annoying you, open up the RTM, in the VDD. Then, filter what you'd like to be shown on your TRS and your TDD.
  9. These things are for roleplay only I guess..or for another title. As for the extra BCM campaign, no. If you're looking for more campaign action, buy UC:CE which features all the BC and UC campaign with the UC:SE engine.
  10. A simple objective: pick any MP_zone, and try to sweep it clean from any hostiles. Then when (if) it's done, try another. Till you the whole planet is clear from foes... Then do it again, since they've already rebuild over the time.

  12. You can't change your AE gear once the game has been created. BTW, the Search function is your friend
  13. I never had this problem with BCM...However, the UC:AWA FAQ states that in some cases, with anti-aliasing on, you can't type in your name. Maybe that's related? Since you can't activate AA in BCM, check that you didn't activated AA in your GPU settings. I may be totally wrong though, BCM and UC:AWA are different games. Also, you really SHOULD use the search function..which returns meany results concerning issues with BCM and AA.
  14. Thanks for replying. Well, then is there still any activity in the Balor wing? I just filled in the form to join the Insurgent Fleet, hope I'm not going to do foolish things. As for registration on the Insurgent Central Command, what name should I use? My character name, in the fleet DB, or my 3000ad forum name? (which should bring some trouble since it's only 2 characters long)

I was referring to that kind of forest texture, not the vegetation: http://www.3000ad.com/pics/ucce/07-05-16/PHOTO045.JPG Somewhat it -the texture applied to the ground- looks like a forest seen from 10 meters above, while the gunship seems to be 2 or 3k feets high. The same applies here; http://www.3000ad.com/pics/ucce/07-05-16/PHOTO054.JPG Looks like grass seen from 15 meters above. Anyway, I'm not willing to derail the topic, that's not a major issue, certainly not something that will keep me off your game The game is great, the greatest of the whole series, keep it up
  20. Hey everyone, I've been lurking here for about a year or so...First post. I first played BCM a while ago, when it gone free. First impression was 'woah oO'. Well, actually, some things annoyed me too (got some ctd's, I couldn't deploy marines from shuttle...the marines looked stupid -though I think it was their IA being too low-) but overall, I kept playing it a bit. I used to play UC demo too, and was then really pleased with the improvments. Now that I upgraded my rig, I decided that BC brought me enough fun (and frustration sometime!) for me to spend some money in here. All I can say now is "WTF?". Is is really that same UC:SE that most gaming reviews flamed so much? Graphics are nice (not over the top, but nice though), and as always, the scale is huge. I find it really delightfull to fly next to a -massive- starstations...And even funnier to figure out where the blind spots are when capturing a station with a single cruiser (eh, managed it once). The game is pretty stable, and I can't help playing again and again the planet side scenarios). You made a really good game, Derek Smart, and though I sometimes don't agree with your extreme 'no childish fools' policy (well, don't ban me for that ), I'm really glad you put your skills into that masterpiece. Some minor concerns though: the forest textures don't look that good (what the hell? Why do I see a tree so big on that texture?), and the terrain fading due to the distance semms odd (I almost crashed several times when mountains appeared in front of my gunship!).
