Ben
Help! I've got everything installed. Read FAQ and still no results. Specs: Pentium 166 Number Nine Imagine 128 Video Card Win 98 DirectX 7 Game version: 2.8When I attempt to load Bc3K, DOS starts at full screen. Then, the commands display with the last line stating "system files loaded ok" The music starts, then... the DOS text turns purple. Music continues, but no menu, just DOS text. I can CTRL ALT DEL to end the task and then desktop. Help!
Ben
Never mind! I got it to work. Edited BC3K.bat, last line from BC3000ad to BC3000ad/v1. And, preto!Let me know if this sounds not correct. Thanks!
Rattler
From what you just described Ben, Your installed video drivers were not up to date enough to work within the game. With the V1 addition to the command line, you directed Vesa Drivers, and yes that sounds right. Have fun, Commander! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104"Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" Supreme Cmdr
Guess who didn't read the FAQ? /v79 would probably be faster than /v1 because BC3K supports that card in native mode. It seems are if he auto-detect is failing. But if you read the FAQ and follow the link to the supported video cards, you will see that the card is supported in native mode. Ben
Actually, supreme cmdr, as I stated previously, I did read the FAQ. Tried V79, and game won't start. Only works in V1. Your the developer, you tell me...
Guest
Get the latest drivers of that video card. Try your computer manofacturer's site first, then go to the card's manofacturer site.BTW, an upgrade wouldn't hurt
