Guest tictoc Posted September 28, 2000 Report Share Posted September 28, 2000 Hi guys, got a frustrating prob trying to save a game in A.C.M mode, it always dumps me back to the desktop whenever i try to either 'save' from the menu or go to the main page and try to 'save' from there. I have have no probs in freeflight mode even with my shuttles scattered everywhere, i can save at any time, but A.C.M mode, never!. I have been able to save at majoris after escorting the diplomat, but after that, specifically i get the H.S.D, rtb to my cruiser, unload, try to save and BANG, desktop again. I will admit that doing this solved my problem of not being able to save at all but did not fix my "can't save in ACM" problem. I have found that using a slot other the first one for my commander will allow me to save with no problems in ACM. So my "New Commander" screen looks like this:(Available) (Tyrn Marcel) etc.------------------ Commander Tyrn Marcel GCV Falcon, Wraith HQ (Lyrius) S.O.G. Though by habit I still do not use Slot 0 (the very first player profile), mostly by habit - some are hard to break I am running the same version as you are Tyrn and do not experience the same symptom(s) as ye does. Even when I purposesly use PLayer profile Slot 0.The fix - dont use Slot 0 and check fer patches to ye OS (fer winblows users).
