Urza
Ok, here's the situation. I was playing the first scenario of Episode 2 when I decided to do a little first-person exploring on the planet's surface. So I sent myself, along with a few marines to the transporter room. I then made sure that it was working and had power. I went into TacOps and had myself and the marines beamed down to an uninhapited area of the planet. After doing so, I went into first person. However, upon looking around, I noticed that the marines were nowhere to be found. I then wanted to go back into TacOps (or PerScan) to find out where they were. I couldn't find a way to access TacOps form first-person. I then wanted to beam back aboard my BC, but I needed TacOps to do that, too. Resigned to my unescorted exile on the planet, I decided to explore a little bit. There were hills and elevation changes, but nothing too interesting. (I must have chosen the beam-in location too well) I then wanted to quit to try something else, but the realized that I couldn't even do that! I eventually ended up pushing the reset button on my computer. Is this a known problem with the demo, or am I just being stupid?P.S. Sorry in advance if this question had already been asked. Papi
Team deployment is not aplied in the demo. And to quit in the first person you have to press alt-q.
Urza
OK, that seems to explain why I didn't find any marines, but is there really a way to access TacOps from first person so I can beam back?
Papi
You should be able to access tacops by pressing alt-s, but I'm afraid you can't retrieve your commander back.Demo is a demo

Epsilon 5
What do you expect, to be dropped in the middle of the planet and amazingly land in the middle of a base? No way
Urza
Come to think of it, I don't even know why I beamed down to the planet in the first place. I guess I just wanted to see my marines and go on a little pointless patrol. By the way, I was wondering what would happen if I tried to beam into an ocean... I'd probably drown, unless I could beam back up.
Hector Socas Navarro
You could swim to the coast (yeah, right). You could send a shuttle to pick you up. Or you could say "beam me up, Scotty!"
Epsilon 5
The game would crash! It's a demo bug... fixed in the retail ver.
