Charles Lindsey
Sho and I thought we should do an entire fleet roll call. Who is still hanging around? To my guys: WeeGee: you're just flat out bent. Don't scare El Che like that. Cruis. In: I'm about ready to start on the boat. Come on and get finger printed. It'll be good for ya! Pugwash: Methinks I have a wolf in sheep's clothing. Dreadx: Hope everything ok at work. Finder1: How long have you put up with me? Hee hee. Thanks again all. weegee_101
Whoooo hoooooo this is sort of out of severe happiness that I'm even writing this; but after a 3 hour drive I am HOME!!!! Wooooooooo hoooooooo.... On the other side, now that I'm home I'm gonna start building that webserver I mentioned... anybody interested on some space for UC fleet sites?
Charles Lindsey
"Severe happiness" Almost on oxymoron. Interesting phrase. Glad you're back. It's nice to be home isn't it? Where were you? Still doing lighting in the theatre? Webspace? Hmmmmmm. I "might" need a temporary site for my character page and of course the fleet page. I'm such an old fogey ain't I? Scared of change. But change I must. AOL on dial up is getting really old. Eclipse (Kyle Antilles) is the only memeber checking in from Spectre. Echo is the only member checking in from Eversor. So far I'm missing dreadx and Cruis.In. You missing anybody Sho?
Guest Shingen
How do I get to be a Mal-content? There ain't no indies around to speak of, so where can go and crack some GalCom skull and get paid for it?
Charles Lindsey
quote:How do I get to be a Mal-content?Which manual are you quoting that from ? Hehe. It seems familiar. ( I have used "seem" far too much tonight. ) Regardless of his register date Shingen is pretty much a vet. Some great arguments on Usenet huh? You are in a pickle. Every indie that has posted has posted when no other indies were interested. Sucks don't it? You may certainly try to drum up support for the Indies by using the Private Message function. Seems like you are disgusted with that though. Balor is the Supply and perhaps escort fleet of the Insurgency. Bishamon (ShoHashi's fleet) seems more suited to your desires. Allow Shohashi to respond to the thread before you apply for a particular fleet.

El Che
ShoHashi, thank you for all the info. Is my signature ok now? Not sure if I did it right. And did my application go through? I'm ready for the gun pointed at my head-thingy.
Charles Lindsey
Busy, busy weekend. Played UC yesterday for a long time. Then when I found out my dad wouldn't be able to come over I played some more. Today my dad was refreshed and he came over and we put another 20 amp circuit in the house and installed a window unit to supplement by central unit. Poor little 2 ton (we think, the stickers are faded) unit just couldn't ever keep up with the Alabama sun. There is not a shade tree within 50 ft of my house plus I have brown shingles. Productive weekend. Then we did the Mother's Day dinner out thing at Applebee's. Pretty good time. Pretty good weekend.
weegee_101
2 Tons shouldn't have been that bad... We've got a 2 ton here and I'm sure that we're hotter than Birmingham gets most days of the summer (St. Simons in South Georgia) and it works great. Heh, get a 3 ton though if you can afford it, I'll bet it'll make your house a meat freezer . I managed to sprain my ankle so I've been playing a bunch of UC. Haven't tried the online bit yet though. Any brave commanders wanna try it out with me sometime this week or next weekend?

Charles Lindsey
Well WeeGee I don't know what to tell you. I have talked to several HVAC guys and even my best friend is a very good one. They all think it should "walk with it". It don't. I think it's a combination of several factors. With the compass orientation of the house, the bay windows, the other oversize windows, The brown roof, no shade, Water heater in the kitchen, washer and dryer in the kitchen, two refrigerators I have quite a heat load. But I'll run this thing till it drops and then go for a three ton. I can probably get one real cheap knowing all the vendors I do. What I had at Applebee's wasn't bad. They certainly lean towards the Southwest flavor now. I had Fajitas con Sizzling. Which makes no sense. I remember enough spanish to know that con means "with". So that's fajitas with sizzling. Fajitas with sizzling what? Oh well. It was good anyway. I was playing single player. I think I have been properly initiated now. My ship is beat to hell and back. I got two fighters that won't charge, Three dead marines, and the stupid flight engineer in SC1 must be Resnig's cousin because he's only at 3% fatigue when everyone else is at like 15 - 17%. Oh, and I did the pilot swap thing which seemed to work great. I had one pair with 7 confirmed kills but then they go and get killed.
