Charles Lindsey
Uhm, you don't start on the ground. {Grin}Read the manual. Affectionately known as RTFM. Check out the Academy on the links page. Links to other sites are there also. Get familiar with your systems. Search for answers via the "search" link. Ask specific questions.

thanatos
Welcome KnightCad,As a fairly new commander, myself, the very best advice to learn the game is to read, read, read the manual. Sit in front of your PC and try the described features as you read about them to put the words of the manual and visuals of the game together. Once you get the basics down, you have trouble going back and playing the usual "go here-blow this up" space-sims. ------------------ Cmdr Doc Hoover GCV JOHN PAUL JONES"I will not fear death on the field of battle, for life is but a dream from which we all must wake"
Guest aramike01
All of the above. And try just playing for awhile. That's your best bet to learn this game. When you run into a SNAFU, just refer to the above references for your answer. 99 times out of 100, it's in there. For the off chance that you run into something that you can't find help for, bring it here. But be sure to do your research first! ------------------ Cmdr.
