Guest Maj.Bitch
Hello, I recently bought a copy of BC3000AD and installed it. Then I got the upgrades and installed them, so I should be current to v2.09. Anyway, I've run the setup and all is fine there. But, when I run the game, I only get the intro scenes then it jumps back to my desktop. Am I missing something? Please advise..
Rattler
What are your system specs Commander? What is your video card and which version are you trying to run? If your video card is not voodoo capable, do not attempt to run the 3dfx version of the game. We'll need more information from you in order to provide the assistance you need. Thanks, ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Commander-In-Chief, InsurgencyOfficial Tester Battlecruiser Series [email protected] ICQ 12894104"Arise, Old Insurgents, Long dead but eternal in time and space. Guest Maj.Bitch
3D Prophet II SBLive! XGamerSound and Video both appear to work but the game itself doesn't run. I've been over and over it. I'm quite familiar with computers and game installation and the like. Anyway, I'm gonna reinstall it and see what happens. Thanks anyway.. Thought it might have been obvious but...Maj.Bitch
Rattler
Best I cab remember, the 3D Prophet II is not a 3dfx card. Run the software version of the game only. Do not attempt to run the game from the 3DFX shortcut. That should put you right in there Commander.------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Commander-In-Chief, InsurgencyOfficial Tester Battlecruiser Series [email protected] ICQ 12894104"Arise, Old Insurgents, Long dead but eternal in time and space. Rico Jansen
Maybe this can bring some insight, if the non-3DFXcard/3DFX game version is not the issue. I mean, he never said he ran the 3dfx version. Though he never said he did too.Look at the properties of the shortcut for the BC3K.bat file. (I'm assuming this is the one you used to start the game) In the "program" tab there's a check mark named "close on exit". You probably have it checked. Un-check it to let the window remain shown on your desktop and possibly give you hints as to why it ended running. Setting it checked makes the window disappear when ended/crashed. But it is wise to wait with that until everything is running as it is supposed to.------------------ Cmdr.
