Just thought I should introduce myself smile.gif"><P>I

BC3K is way cool isn't it smile.gif I mean, where else can you invade a planet with such a spanking looking ship =)

Has anyone got any tips on what the best missles are? There are loads!

Also, I'm after some ideas on tactics for Aerospace and Surface joint operations. I.E. best strategies for clearing out missions zones etc..

Thanks all smile.gif

Cmdr. Logan, only the UFN considers us "rebels". We have made many an alliance with other governments, suggesting that we are a political entity all it's own, with our own constitution, laws, and ways. We fight to preserve Earth. If you care for such, join us in our cause. If you'd rather be a pawn in the hands of the UFN, all I can say is, "good luck".

[rp]Does the Insurgent organisation promote trade and diplomacy?

Or does it attempt to undermine the efforts of GALCOM? With the current threat from the Gammulans, GALCOM will be on the front line protecting you. Would the insurgents prefer to take on the Gammulan war machine and it's allies by themselves? I should think not.[/rp]

I'm GALCOM all the way smile.gif

Apart from role play, what do the fleets do?

In answer to your question, fleets are going to be the functional entities when BCM hits. In other words, rival fleets will square off against each other and NPCs alike.

Now on to other things...

[RP]

You should read your history, commander. It wasn't too long ago that an Insurgent taskforce saved the lives of a certain GalCom battlegroup under a Gammulan attack.

We promote the defense of our Earth but not at the cost of sacrificing our Earth.

Fair enough.

Fact is, in the event of full scale invasion by Gammulan forces, an emergency defence alliance could save many lives on the battlefield. But leave that to the policy makers. Our job is to carry out policy. With force if need be.

[/rp]

BCM looks amazing.

I think that shuttles from warships should have a different designation, i.e. dropship or a name the denotes a military transport.

But hey, it's just an idea.

Check out the fleets info from the main BC site page. That will give you a breakdown as to what all the fleets do in the universe.

If you want to be part of GalComs BIG GUNS, look no further than the ORION Fleet.

As of now, fleets serve as an affiliation reference point for forum members - my interpretation.

Once BC:M and beyond (excluding GO) are fielded...er released, then Fleet affiliation could be used for pure Multiplayer deconstruction enjoyment and satisfaction.

Welcome to our nightmare Cmdr. Logan. Mayhaps ye should peruse the forum and other BC related websites.

Soon the howlering will begin fer ye to pick an affiliation; aka pick a Fleet biggrin.gif

Check out each of the fleets websites (you can find them through the CMDR FLEETS link on the main page). Each fleet has a sort of "specialty" or a specific mission they fullfill. I chose Wraith necause they had some niffty reconisence and "Black Ops" type Wings. And then I got handed a whole new division! biggrin.gif

I want my character to be a sort of futuristic "Submarine Commander". I.E. Deep space recon, covert strikes etc.. for extended periods. A bit of a dark horse.

Is there anyway (apart from cloking) to minimise your visibility in BC3k? I have seen a few posts talking about parking your BC in a debris field. Whats all this about then?

Sounds like my current MO. AN asute BC Commander must think like the bubbleheads and airdales - think in 3D that is; X, y, & Z axis to be exact.

Theory behind hiding in a debris field is akin to finding a thermal layer in the deep blue sea. To mask the BC signature amongst the clutter of asteroids and flotsam that accumulate there-in. Same as a sub creating a knuckle during high speed maneuvers, etc.

This is mostly theory IMO and regulated to some vivid imagination and stretching the poetic liscense to the extreme. I haven't the opportunity to prove this theory but will try once BCM is released.

Wraith fleet seems to be the sort of fleet I'm looking to join.

I had a look at all the sites, and it seems to be the fleet that would be most fitting for my character.

Great choice Cmdr. Logan, now comes the tricky part - which part of Wraith Fleet does ye wish to affiliate with?

Shameless plug coming biggrin.gif I could use a good Commander that can think on his toes, not shirk at unconventional tactics implementation, enjoy esoteric opportunities, and surreal assignments .

TTFN and welcome to our nightmare.
