Guest jupiter87135 Posted September 6, 2000 Report Share Posted September 6, 2000 Hi,I have painfully discovered that using the cloaking system too long results in a radiation flood and crew members having down time.I love to fly cloaked into Gammulan space.Would it be worth it to deinstall the game, reinstall the 2.0 that I have, add the 2.08 patch and the Mappak, but NOT add 2.09? As I understand it the 2.09 patch is what causes the radiation flooding. Will I seriously be missing that much if I stay with 2.08, rather than 2.09 if I want to fly cloaked for extended periods of time?Thanks much all!!! While the end decision is, of course, yours; here are some perspectives on which to think:A) Would you rather play the game as the SC has envisioned it or in a "broken" state? Cloaking is still a good tactic, you just need to learn when to cloak, when not to cloak and other methods of lying low while the cloaking device cools or so Kendrick and Co. can patch up any leaks.
