Hi, my name's Ian, and I'm a BC3K addict.

HI IAN!!

Hi, my name's Jake and I'm a BC3K addict.

HI JAKE!!

Hi, my name's Zach, but I'm not an addict! Seriously, even though I play it when I should be working, and I play it 25 hours a day, I'm not a BC addict!

So, as it stands now, all International

shipments will be the CD-ROM, in a Tyvex sleeve, in the printed manual, shrink wrapped and

stuffed in a padded envelope. Take it or leave, thats what you're getting...until the game

starts being sold on European store shelves.

Hmmm, no galactic map then? Oh well.

While we're talking about pre-orders etc, I ordered my copy from BMT a while ago now, should I have received a confirmation email, because I never did?

Well, I for one am not complaining about the lack of a release date. I hope SC takes as long as needed to get us a game that'll run great straight out of the box. Well, that and the fact that I'm a poor computer tech and I must have rent to house my computer and electricity to run it. Gives me more time to update my system and scrape the money together for THE game. The best things in life are worth waiting for. I just hope I have enough time to pick up all the pennies I need for it.

Keep up the great work SC and keep me laughing with your responces to all the idiots, myself included!

Only if you have pre-ordered by the end of August. The free maps are on a first come, first serve basis.

In fact, I encourage anyone here to look into Derek, and his dealings, and then really ask yourself 1)is getting this game worth the headache.....

Headache? I don't have any headaches! Other than that feeling of the sheer joy that we're almost there!

quote:

2)even if BCM is the god among games, do I want to support Derek, by buying it?

Yes. I support him all the way!

At least Derek keeps in contact with the fanbase. Do you know any game developer, that keeps in touch with the players, directly?

If you're not happy, so what. We don't care, and I'd appreciate it if you just left (or get banned).

Hm, what else... oh yeah, ban me.

Good riddance.

Hmmm.... May I personally escort the man to the Airlock, sirs? I'd like to do the honor myself.

I am gonna tell you a few things. While Derek might be rough and doesn't put up with all the bullshit (why should he), he DOES support his products and delivers what he promised, ALWAYS. He gives out tons of freebies, and fixes any bugs that might be found in his games. I am going to make an example. After I bought TROPICO, it had some bugs, I went on their official website, E-mailed them, you know what I got in response to my questions? NOTHING. That's right. A week later a patch came out, and it still didn't fix all the problems, I E-mailed them again, you know what I got in response a second time. NOTHING. And guess what. ALL, and I mean ALL the games that I have purchased and later e-mail their developers with some question, I got either some crapy answer that doesn't really mean anything or nothing at all. So before you go around talking crap about Derek, think about the way he will help you when you will run into some kind of problems with his game. Yes, he might tell you to shut up or something to that effect, but only if your comment or question deserves that. Final words. This is the only developer I know that will stand by his product, help (and I mean REALLY HELP) his fans with any problems they might have and be involved in the forum, and I would rather have that + some rude comments when people deserve them, then nothing at all. If you don't like it here, then don't come here to read and post, and don't buy Derek's games, who cares, go and buy games from some other developers and see how far they will go to fix any problems you might run into with their product, it's your loss.

I don't normally get involved with the production bit of the game in the forum but hey:

Stop *****ing about release date or dynamic whatchamacallit Hal. I've seen games that has been delayed for over a year and still not many people ***** about it.If SC releases it say in the projected time ages ago( was it April?) we wouldn't get the new features that we are having when it gets release now. Then there's bugs....Imagine if he released then with the known bugs that was out then unsquashed people would still be *****ing about it!! Thats the reason why he went indy in the first place...so he can take his time PERFECTING his product and not releasing something that is unfinished like B3K 1.0. Nobody blamed the publisher for forcing him to release it early. They blamed it squarely on him. Personally I'd rather Derek takes his time so when the game comes out you are rest assured that it's been thoroughly tested and will be fun to play instead of saying "why can't this game to work without crashing" all the time like some of the games I've played.

So Hal relax take a chill pill or I'll smack you with my beatifully toned forearm and choke you out using the power of my beutiful biceps!!

Guys, there's no point in responding to Hal. He's just here to cause trouble.

It's gonna happen more and more the closer the game gets to release and the more press is released about the game.

If it hasn't already been done, I vote for instant banning of Hal. He's not here for discussion, he's just here to stir up crap.

I'd like to see the thread continue though. It's a nice place to talk anticipatedly (?) about the game.

Well then ya know what, gimme a HELL YEAH! I said gimme a HELL YEAH! BCM is gonna rock. Anyone that isn't interested and/or is annoyed with it...then why waste the keystrokes *****in'? Go play Quake3 and think happy thoughts somewhere else...This game is gonna be a buttload of fun.

So you pre-ordered, eh? I was thinking about doing that too. It sounds like Derek is pretty confident that BCM can go gold in September...I'll wait until Sept, I guess. I downloaded the episode 2 demo again to keep my patience until then. I can't wait.

It took me a nudge, but only a slight one to preorder back in May, and I haven't regretted it, the only problem I see is, if my credit card is maxed when it does go gold, will that screw up my order? No doubt, so I have been scared the whole time to buy anything online except with PayPal

Funny. I realized that HAL Beta was the guy who made this topic..... He seemed so friendly earlier, talking about how cool it was that an actual President of a software company would communicate with the fanbase...

And weeks later, he blows off on SC, and how people shouldn't support him.. Total bullsh**. Good riddance he's gone.

*Sigh*

BTW, Mole. You've probably gotten this a million times already, but that kind of signature is PROHIBITED. Change it appropriately.
