Red dots are the predators. Blue dots are the prey, and green dots are in competition with red.

If you see a red winning against a blue, let them win, then go in and get rid of the red. If you see a red fighting a green, help out if the green is losing. And if you see a red by itself, go after that nice cargo pod.

Its all about the ecosystem. You gotta have balance or else things get all weird. If you dont keep their numbers in check, the ecosystem will be overwhelmed and bad things will happen.

Also, you can give your pilots and marines some exercise, or else they'll get fat and lazy.

LMAO!!! I've never seen anyone put it that way before.

But there's other stuff too that isn't documented. Like SC's flying circles around the CC after they've been ordered back to base. (I hope that's not in the VC too (I didn't see it)).

It'd be nice of those ships told us what they were doing. "We're moving in to escort you, Merchant" or somesuch.

We're going to need a good communication system in BCM when it goes online, so maybe that could be part of it.

Doesn't the fact that they are escorting you, tell you this?

As for comms system; thats what player's are for. Don't confuse BCM mp with BCO, since they are completely different in their implementation of NPCs in the game world.

Here's a tip:

Sometimes my shuttles do stupid things like circle stationary cargo pods, or circle my stationary CC -- this gets very annoying when there's a stormcarrier on your tail, you have intruders on board, and you REALLY want to shut off launch control and get the hell out of there!

I find if I wait for the shuttle to come close to it's target, then tell it to halt, then tell it to cargosweep (or RTB), it'll then fly directly to the stationary target and stop circling. :-)

hey, your shuttle was circleing the target-- mine was ramming wraith stations wrekage trying to get to a cargo pod on the other side-- then a TER/MIL Stormcarrier went straight through the shuttle (what was left of it after the stormcarrier turned on its pta system) and through wraith.
