ouch Posted February 26, 2004 Report Share Posted February 26, 2004 OK, I have gotten the hang of UC in space so I decided to move on to ground ops. I take all 20 marines from my questar and set them down in Space Base 01 on earth. I then tell all of them to escort me. they all come running next to me and then they look all around to see if the coast is clear. Ok, cool I thought, but I heard these guys learn from what you do, so lets have a little fun so I crouched... and everyone crouched, then I jumped... and everyone jumped. so I thought, "hmm... you guys think your so smart do you?","simon says, jump!", "very good", "jump!", "oh, simon didn't say... your out marine #13,12,4,6,7,3,..." after screwing with them, via running away or jet packing on top of something. or sending them on pointless "running missions", I got a little bored... so I ran in the middle of thier protective circle formation. and started jumping and crouching again to see if any of there behaviors changed after all of my activities with them. so I crouched... and everyone crouched, then I jumped... and everyone jumped. then I shot into the air... and I died. you see when you fire, everyone else does too. except they seem to just do it in what ever direction they are faceing. and they were all looking at me, in a closely packed group. Remember, I took ALL marines, so those guys with rocket launchers... not one of my proudest moments, I managed to get shot to death on friendly territory not to mention a few marines probably got killed too. another time (after the unfortunate incident above) I took only a few marines this time and I just ordered them all to escort me. then I jumped on top of my questar and I was watching the marines standing there trying to find a way to get up to me, When I noticed someone was missing... Marine #5 was gone. I switched to tacops and found him running. he didn't have a target according to the VID view. he was just running accross the landscape for no apparent reason, like he's Forest Gump or something. maybe he saw a shiny object or a fuzzy animal, I don't know. So I decided to go after him I used my jet pack to get to him. meanwhile back at my CC, the other marines seemingly amazed by my godlike ability to levitate, started running around in small circles under my questar. upon herding all of my marines back to the SC I had a scary thought... "If I get boarded by an enemy, these guys are supposed to save me" *shudders* while thinking, "the horror" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
