You can find it over here. Don't have time to read it yet. Will do later and post comments.
Here is my email to the EIC. No point in duplicating my comments.

Hi Brian,
Just read the review and wanted to say that this is the kind of review (score
aside - they're largely irrevelant) that better conveys the correct message to
the gamer. Very few reviewers have the skill to review games like this and I
must say, this review writing was pretty impressive. I agree with 95% of what
he had to say and I like the way, in between praising the game's high points, he
cautions about the low points as well. The review gives the gamer a basic idea
of what they're getting into. Good job!
Anyway, about this excerpt :
"The manual is dense, overly technical, littered with acronyms, and keeps referring to an appendix that isn?t there. (The 200+ page appendix is downloadable in Adobe Acrobat Reader format from 3000 A.D.?s Universal Combat site.)"
just wanted to point out that the game appendix is actually installed
with the game!! Just go to start/programs/dreamcatcher/universal combat/docs and
there is a "Manual Appendix" link to the docsappendix.html file. What he saw on the
website downloads page is actually a formatted PDF version for printing at Kinkos etc,
since its difficult to print html files with embedded tables and whatnot. That version
was done by this Kinko worker and volunteer.
So, please see if you could check this out and have that excerpt corrected please.
cheers
DS

not too bad 3/5 was the final score. I think he missed the AI with the comments he posted but overall seems fair.

[/indent]Yeah I agree. I don't think he had enough time to really observe it at work.

I enjoyed reading it immensely.
It listed facts, not conjecture.
It was unbiased and straightforward.
No opinions of the developer or his quirky nature.
That's why we like him, he's quirky.
It gave the reader enough information to make their own decision about the title and whether or not they would like to buy it and try it.
"Just the facts Ma'am, Just the facts."

There's a reason I tend to trust AVault reviews. IMHO they seem to be rather unbiased and honest. More importantly, 90% of the things they like I like too
