ok, I ve searched on the forum but didn t found any answer to my question.

I ve just picked up the falkerie transport ships which r following me and I ve got to bring them from lv103 to lv130. Aouch... I take a look at the navitron and sees that it s almost at the opposite of the map. Then I see a flux field (f12) which almost connects both. I take it but the ships don t follow me into the flux field. I think it s because the sc said that npc ships would t enter flux field. Does this mean I have to protect those transports during this HUGE trip? or is there a shortcut that I haven t seen?

maybe it s stupid but I fear this trip :-)

thx for your help

Yeah. You're gonna die. A lot. Get RC7 and save often.

And the way that scenario works, if you don't get them all to their destination, you won't know what happens.

NPC ships do NOT use flux fields. Good luck. I hope you have your rabbit's feet closeby.

The only problem with escorting sheep to the truck is that they might be in transports (which have faster transite times than the Megaron)

Personaly I havn't gotten that far yet cause I continue to run out of Radine... geez = SC! Why did you make us start off in the hardest place to find ANY good trade routes!? Did you do that just to annoy us

I have managed to make it to Lyrius so far w/ 3 of the 4 transports, I got pretty lucky heading out to pick them up, I made enough off cargo pods to upgrade everything except the artifacts and buy as much Radine as I needed. Upgrade the reactor/engine quick it will make life easier.

And I kept going w/ 3 out of the 4 transports hoping I didnt lose the critical one? So if I lose ANY? of them the mission will not complete?

And thats exactly how to play that scenario - by using your head. Think of this scenario as something straight out of Battlestar Galactica.

The campaign will automatically end if ALL four of them are destroyed.

You get rewards depending on how many of them make it. If you escort all four of them, the rewards are greater.

You also get big rewards for thwarting off attacks from certain hostiles. However, those ships don't have names, so you won't know who they are. I will revise this in the next RC patch as a hint.

Remember, you have fleet C&C and they will respond to your commands. Which means that you can have them stay in one place, while you run off and come back etc.

The scenario is quite tricky, but I played it from start to finish and tweaked it along the way.

Kalshion, I've found that there is ample time to dock somewhere along the way to pick up a heapin' helpin' of Radine, particularly if you pawn some of your starting spare parts or weapons. The APN missles snag a pretty good price. You should top up the plutonium a bit, too.

Just my 2 cents... but if you got fleet C&C you can order them to stay halted near the flux field entrance guarded by fighter and maybe some escort from the local starbase if possible (or else by your fighters), and then tow one at a time with you in the fluxfield to the other end and then halted to safety near the arrival starstation...... don't have UC and I know that this would be a bit tricky but I think that should work.....

P.S. I know I'm going to be killed by the SC....

Holy smhmoley. Darn good idea about the halt/tow through fluxfield method. Too bad i'm practically to Polaris already taking the long way around.

Still.. I think there is a flux in the area that would cut the trip short. Mmmm.

Lol. Hey Denny. Should've kept that one to yourself, and just been one of the first ones to beat the new UC ACM. Never gonna be head of PrimeFleet if you give away all your secrets.

P.S. post #51 woohoo!

does that mean they are supposed to appear in the menu fleet command and control? because they are not listed in my menu, they are just set to follow me but it doesn t look like I can change their orders.

Well, the Flux field trick is kinda.....hazardous lol, from what i seen you have 1 chance out of a lot (dont remember the exact number) to jump at the right coordinates. Of course i did (since i knew that) but it took me 2 hours and 27 reloads to make all 4 go thru the flux field..... now im just waiting for the ACM mission 1 to be fixed so i can finish it hehehe.

Well, you can always try what i'm trying right now. Which is, you capture a station or two in Gammulan territory, use fleet C&C to launch a total of about 4-6 super carriers, 2-4 heavy carriers, about 16 cruisers, and 40-80 fighters all escorting you then just plow through all opposition.

So what happens after this mission is finished? Will another mission open up? Or this one is still not fixed? Something weird happened to me, I got to the place where those ships I was supposed to escort were then they greeted me, joined and I think they have left the region without me because I was running low on fuel... Well, after some time (I think those ships went by themselves) I have received a note - Congratulations, you have completed the mission, now you can retire from your active duty... And the game end and went back to the main menu screen.

SC can you please explain what happened, so did I compete the mission or it was just a glitch? Thanks.

SC you stated in post earlier that depending on how many of them survives you get rewards and if all 4 destroyed scenario automatically ends. So scenario ended but I didn't get any reward. Plus I received Congratulation note and supposedly it doesn't mean that they were destroyed. But I didn't get rewards, what those rewards are anyway? I mean if there would be following missions after successful escort then probably those rewards could be used, but if there is only one mission in main campaign what rewards are we talking about here?

Thanks again.

Read the other thread.

And don't confuse the scenario completion message to mean you did well. You're just being notified that you survived.

I was planning on listing the victory conditions for that campaign, but I keep forgetting. However, I think that I did list some of them in the other thread.

Oh thanks for this link, I am going through that thread now. I have one note to make though. When I was moving through space I got some unwanted visitors who stole 2 of my shuttles. The problem is that one of the shuttles was stolen during HJ. I tried once to launch FC or SC during the jump and I couldn't. But those bad guys can steal my shuttle during the HJ, it's not fair .

Yes, my point is that those bad guys shouldn't be able to steal my shuttles during the HJ... since systems are disabled. But I've assigned more marines to search, maybe they will get read of the bandits quicker.
