Extra cargo holds...
This is a cool way to store extra spare parts, minerals, weapons etc. that you dont have enough room to store in your cargo holds.
All you have to do is transfer the items which take up to much space into a shuttle that you arn't using. then use your remaining shuttles for collecting cargo pods etc.

Using your shuttles is also a way to trade with large quantities, but I never tried it though..

If you are really short on space you can also use any vehicles and the transporter(if you are careful).

the only problem with loading shuttle with cargo is if u go to pick up a cargo pod and the shullte is destroyed on the way back there goes all your cargo
