Movie Night - Dinosaur

So here we are, sitting at the Disney head corporate office. Someone says "Let's make a movie about Dinosaurs!" Another person says "Yeah! That's a really good idea!" Then another person says "It can be short, only about an 1 hour and 20 minutes long, but we can make it seem to drag on forever!" "Good idea! Instead of making the dinosaurs look real, let's make them look all cartoony, give them American personalities, and have them move like they were ordinary people! I mean come on, who wants to see dinosaurs move like dinosaurs?!?" "Alright, let's start writing the script...I happen to have the Disney cliche book right here! We'll just throw everything in..."

And that, my friends, is how "Dinosaur" was made. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Cartoony dinosaurs = suck

Plot reminiscent of the past 7 Disney films = suck

Script that is basically one cliche after another = suck

D.B. Sweeny as a dinosaur = suck

If you want to see a kick ass show about Dinosaurs, check out the Discovery Channels "Walking With Dinosaurs." That is by far a superior film...

Geeze, what's with all these lame movies coming out...first Battlefield Earth, now Dinosaur...things arn't looking to good for MI:2...

Never understimate the power of Hollywood to screw yet another movie. MI:2 will suck. I foresee it I second that!

Jackie Chan rocks. He's been my favorite actor for almost 20 years. I stll remember going to the drive in and seeing Snake Fist Fighter, and Drunken Master. He's awesome.

I disagree. Dinosaur is an excellant family movie in the Disney tradition. Heck even my kid caught some of those cliches, she be only 9. Which in turn means that I needs to clean me shotgun up and double up the load. I dont use rocksalt
