Mine was and still is , American History X.

That movie just left a very big impression on me , cause a couple of years ago , you had the same thing going here in holland , with al that race discrimination...

Man... that movie is good and everybody should go see it

I got several.

What Dreams May Come

The War of the Roses (comedy)

Tale of Genji (Japanese)

City of Lost Children (French movie)

SHOGUN (James Clavell's)

Ghostbusters (just FUN!)

Apollo 13

Forrest Gump

La Estrategia del Caracol (The Snail's Strategy) - Colombia

Rodrigo D: No Futuro (Rodrigo D: No Future) -Colombia

Guess I got too much time on my hands and no willpower to choose which is the best one LOL. Watch them if you can, they are all really good movies.

Don't understand how The Matrix and the Godfather movies can be compared to each other... totally different types of movies, the fact is the Godfather series hold no interest for me and never have, therefore it would be easy to tell that The Matrix would hold no interest for you either.

THe Matrix is still one of the best SciFi, special effect movies ever created.

Both Godfather movies AND The Matrix would be in my top 10 all time favorites. Add in:

BladeRunner

Apocalypse Now

Field of Dreams

Casablanca

The Thin Red Line

Once Upon A Time In the West

Ben-Hur

Gone With the Wind,......whoops, I forgot the thread started as your favorite (single) movie.

I love dark movies, and I like highly technical directors like James Cameron and Ridley Scott and such, so there for my favorite movie is SE7EN. It's a sick and twisted flick yes, but the over all look and feel of the movie is astounding.

Other all-times by Genre

Action: Die Hard, Hard Boiled

Horror: Alien/Aliens, Event Horizon

Sci-Fi: Bladerunner, The Matrix, Darkcity

Drama: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (It has amazing Kung Fu but it's a drama at heart), Empire of the Sun

Comedy: So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Hudsucker Proxy

Cheese: Evil Dead Series, Six String Samurai, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Aramike,

I'm still hanging cool in Notre Dame City, er, I mean South Bend, saving lives and stomping out disease. I read the forums 3 to 4 times a week but don't have too much to add; most BCM discussion revolves around multiplay, and here in rural heartland, USA, I don't have the bandwidth to compete. Looking foward to single player BCM.

Thanks for noticing.

Guys, i gotta say it's the 1st alien movie, cause it was dark (i nearly had an 'accident' if you know what i mean) and the suspense was incredable (kudo's to ridley on that one).
