Oh no, possible this, possible that, lightly classified, no change in threat level, tell the POLICE, and law enforcement of the possible threat.

Yeah, that sounds like trying to upset the populace....NOT.....

This memo was sent to law enforcement, it was lightly classified, and they have NOT changed the threat level.

You, my little chicken little friend, need to get a grip on reality.

And guess what would happen if they had NOT issued this warning and some type of device like this ACTUALL DID go off.

You would be the FIRST one screaming about how they didn't warn us and what an AWFUL job that Bush was doing.

It's a catch 22 with you Kartoffel. When they do warn law enforcement, you rag on them, and if a device like this DOES go off and they DIDN'T warn law enforcement, you'd rag on them, so, what do they have to do to please you?

They can't......

Gives your credibility a whole new outlook, now doesn't it?

Oh, yes, tell them of a possible threat - because there is no more threat then there has been. If there were truly a threat of an attack, the threat level would be going up, not staying where it is.

What they're likely trying to do with this is to get the public in a near-panic, like it was after 9/11, with everyone willing to let BushCo do whatever.

Jaguar, its YOU who need to get the grip on reality. If I were a chicken like you are so quick to brand me as, I would be wanting the threat level raised. Which I dont. So stop trying to lay on false accusations, m'kay?

You really can't be this dense, can you?

They've been crying about terrorist attacks going to happen in a very vague sense (like Ashcroft on May 26th- "a terrorist attack in the next few months", how much more vague can you get?), yet have given no new intelligence for quite a while. Yet you just keep lapping it up, branding anyone who doesnt immediately take it to heart, as a Bush hater.

I am not a Bush hater, though I do truly dislike him, and want him out of office, for what he has done to the US, such as making most of our allies into near-enemies, his blatant anti-envoirnment policies, his tax cuts for the rich... Need I go on?

Though if Bush would turn around most of his anti-envoirnment, anti-choice policies, get us out of Iraq, stop acting like he's above the law, etc, that would certainly be better (though I know better, he's in bed with industry, the neo-cons, and the fanatical right). I still wouldent like him, he had broken so much already, but it would be a start to redeeming himself.

Let me clarify what the desired effect from the warning was, since you seem unable to do anything but try to slam me. I meant the "Oh no, we're being/going-to-be attacked, we've got to let the president have free reign" feeling that was going on after 9/11. That would be perfect for BushCo.

ROFLMAO!!

You actually FALL for that crap?

Tax breaks for the Rich? ROFLMOA!!

In bed with Industry? ROFLMAO!!!

Damaging the environment? ROFLMAO!!!

Give me a flipping break, WTF is that?

Can you NOT think for yourself, or do you actually believe the spoonfed crap that you get from most of the media and the socialist morons in this country?

Look to science, and you will see that NOTHING that Bush has done has harmed the environment.

Giving tax breaks to EVERYONE, has HELPED the economy, and has HURT NO ONE!!!!

I don't know about you, but I have NEVER worked for a poor person, and gotten payed anyway.

This class warfare BS that you are spouting and the QUESTIONABLE science that you are spouting puts up a BIG red sign that says..."socialist" class warfare crazy.......

Tax breaks for the rich? OMG, give me a break...ROFL!!!

And our socalled allies... France and Germany, had SO MUCH money wrapped up in Saddams regime that they had NO choice but to complain about what we did. Same with Russia, at least Russia has the decency to admit it.....

So, who is in bed with the rich, France, Germany, Russia....

If Bush had ACTUALLY been in bed with the rich, we WOULDN'T have attacked Iraq and taken out Saddam, because OUR oil companies had a LOAD of contracts and loans out to him as well.

Tax breaks for the rich, in bed with corporations, etc etc....ROFLMAO!!!

You are just TOO FUNNY........

Adn how many times do you CYA every day with your boss?

Bush and company HAVE to make these announcements, they HAVE TO!!!!

If they get an INKLING of intelligence telling them about some form of possible terrorist attack, THEY HAVE TO MAKE A MEMO!!!

Why? Because WE are their bosses, and if WE haven't been warned about a possible attack, NO MATTER HOW UNLIKELY, and it happens, then THEY will be blamed for NOT warning us.

Get the picture?

NO, because you want to hate Bush and say that he is overreacting....

Well, 911 caught us ALL with our pants around our ankles, Bush does NOT want that to happen again.

Get it yet?

And watch your mouth, or I start editing your posts.

Calling me dense is a good way to get your posts edited or deleted, because I WILL do it.

I have yet to call you a name of any sort, I have made inuendos, but have never come out and called you a name or called you stupid, dense or anything like that. Although, you have given me EVERY reason to.

So watch it..... last warning....

And above the law? WTF is that?

Clinton thought that he could lie under oath and get away with it, THERE is a man that thinks he is above the law. Switching china trade policies from one department to another in order to get around trade policies for high tech items, and then accepting MONEY for his campaign from the Chinese government is someone who thinks he is above the law. Accepting campaign contributions in exchange for opening up the Los Alamos nuclear labs to Chinese scientists is someone who thinks he is above the law.

GET THE PICTURE?

Bush has NEVER thought that he is above the law, he has YET to abuse the executive powers that he has. NEVER....

Clinton made it a career....

And I did NOT even metion the fact that he locked up our coal reserves that would compete with his friends in India, who of course donated to the Democratic campaign coffers, by creating a national park, and the MYRIAD of other abuses of the executive office that he did, that would make a book, a few books actually.

Bush thinks that he's above the law? Get a grip on reality, PLEASE.....

Jaguar, you're being a hypocrite now. You've called me names on occasion. My statements could be taken that way too, but at least dont try to punish me, while continuing to insult me.

Perhaps a neutral mod would be better for this forum.

I'll need some time to look up all the things I need to refute you, so give me a few hours. But rest assured, it will come.

Sorry, but it won't come, because there are no FACTS to refute me. NOT ONE....

You post a bunch of emotional nonsense, and I post facts.....

You don't use what God gave you, you use what the media gives you....

There's a huge difference.

That is why I am a conservative and you are a liberal.

I think with my brain, you think with your heart, and emotions.

Just as a brief contrast, remember the story last month of an electronic device found on a Philadelphia train track? Remember that they determined that it was motion sensor? With that kind of information, what kind of security warning would you send out?

BTW, do you know how that story turned out? It was placed by a graveyard shift railyard worker so that he could tell when the boss was approaching in order to take naps. With 20/20 hindsight, should a warning have not been issued?

Yup, I remember that well. I laughed though when I heard the reason for the sensor. Got to give that guy some credit he sure knows how to stay one step ahead of the boss.

Panic, what panic? Did you not read or see the news during 9/11. I watched the second tower from my window get hit and seeing them both in smoke then they fell, well I'm still alive but I'm not sure of the long term affects from all that crap spewing into the air from the collapse of the towers, and the people here in NY city carried themselves very well. Well, we all carried on the next day and the next one after that and so on. No panic or histeria. Just doing what we needed to do. There was more anger than there was panic I can tell ya.

The 2001 tax cut, and the math behind it.

Here's the 2001 plan end result.

The poorest ($6000 and under) get a 5% cut.

The working poor ($6000 - ~$27,000) get NO cut.

A $100,000 income gets a 6% cut - $6000, $300,000 and $1,000,000 both get a 6.6% cut - $20k and $66k cuts respectively. While a $45,000 income gets a 3% cut - $1350 back. While this is for single filers, the other filing plans (which are available in a link to whitehouse.gov in this link) are similar to this.

Twice nothing remains nothing, half infinity remains infinity.

This link shows the net effect of BushCo's tax cuts over a couple of different scenarios.

Eliminiting the dividend tax - This only seriously benefitted Wall Street traders, & such, those who have large amounts invested. This hardly helps the average working-class American, who has relatively little invested.

Eliminating the estate tax - BushCo's rationale for this was to stop farmers losing their farms from generation to generation, when it was handed down. What a load of rubbish. There were clauses in it to stop exactly that. All repealing it did was stop a source of federal income (~$1 trillion over the next 10 years), and a tax that only affected perhaps the top 2%.

An article on how much it costs with BushCo's tax cuts to create a job.

There's a graph in this article that compares the various incomes of the five 20% income brackets, and the top 1%, also shows how much more they get with Bush's tax cuts.

This article shows how BushCo's tax cuts drove up gas prices - and brings up another good point - sooner or later, intrest rates will climb, and BushCo's gigantic defecit will hit the US hard.

Bush let the polluters write the laws that govern them.

This one speaks for itself.

BushCo relaxes Clean Air rules

So you think nobody in BushCo lied, huh? Here's a list of (at this writing) 237 lies or misleading statements of BushCo, about Iraq.

Also, this is a compiliation of 62 (at this writing) campaign lies/distortions (and proof of their falsehood) the GOP has used against Kerry.

You may call this class warfare, all you want, but that will not stop this from being very valid.

I repeat : They have given no evidence that they will be, they have not raised the threat level. If you can look past your bias, you may notice this. If they would give real evidence, I wouldent be calling this fearmongering
