Recommended Posts

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Likely voters in California are overwhelmingly supporting measures on a November ballot that would raise taxes on cigarettes and oil producers, the Field Poll reported on Wednesday.

Sixty-three percent would vote for Proposition 86, which seeks to impose an additional $2.60 tax on a pack of cigarettes to fund health programs, while 32 percent would not and 5 percent are undecided, according to the Field Poll's report.
