LostInSpace
The idea of roach recon isn't as bizarre as it may sound. The Defense Department is already exploring how to use everything from bug-size robots to live wasps for similar tasks. Before warming to the roach idea three years ago, Brinker worked on a Pentagon-funded project to harness honeybees as explosive-sniffing scouts. Ah, the many usefulness of bugs. XOR
roaches are a very versitile insect with their strange immunity to radiation(its strange because they seem to even be able to survive microwaves which cause heat by rubbing water particles togeather. dont belive me? put a roach in a microwave oven and when its done it will still be alive) and their supprising speed and their ability to slip through the cracks they are an ideal spying bug the only problem is that everyone seems to have a disposition toward smashing roaches maybe they should use a less hated bug so in the event that it is spotted then it may be overlooked... like a butterfly or something lol
