Guest DocHoliday
Link quote: A huge explosion halfway across the galaxy packed so much power it briefly altered Earth's upper atmosphere in December, astronomers said Friday. A few things come to mind: - whoever lived near there is now probably gone. - I wish a way was found to predict such events and harvest their power when they occur. I mean: 10,000 trillion trillion trillion watts?? - in light of this people who advocate we do nothing about pollution are probably right. It's no use anyway - makes you think about our "important" arguments every day, when we are all just a part of bigger inter-related system of equations. Cc
Keep in mind this was 50,000 years ago. At least the initial explosion. Another example why life, even though pretty much a given under the appropiate circumstances, may not be all that prevalent.
Guest
There is LOTS of life out there, life is the universe pondering itself, and therefore there is LOTS of life, because the universe wouldn't even exist otherwise, because how could it be realized, without life, that it existed? LOL, there, your philisophical thought for tonight....
