LostInSpace
REDMOND, Wash. - Microsoft Corp. said after the bell Thursday that Chairman will transition out of a day-to-day role in the company to spend more time on his global health and education work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Is this good or bad? I'm not quite sure.
Criterion
Good or bad for who? It depends on which side of the dollar sign you are on.
Wolferz
I dunno. Microsoft is already a juggernaut thanks to Bill- boy genius-Gates. I don't think it will be stumbling anytime soon, with or without Unkie Bill. He won't be far away I betcha.

Bill Gates led the company from half a programmers prospective and half a business prospective. The logical next pick to become Chairman is Steve Ballmer, and frankly, I shiver at the thought of him doing more than just the finances.
