Kreij
Here is some more insight into price hikes. I found the following quote interesting ... quote:While the cost of developing next generation games will undoubtedly be higher than current development costs, the proposed price hike is less to do with development, and more down to a desire among publishers to expand their margins - with the hardware transition apparently seen as a perfect chance to accomplish this by bumping up software prices.Oh, the humanity ! -Kreij
Zane_Marlowe
I'm not sure if it makes much difference to me, I'm the guy that waits six months for a game to drop to the $20-30 range. I cringe at the thought of what they're going to charge for the XBox 2, and what the price on that will be a year from November, what's the point of buying this stuff the moment it comes out? Kevin Trotter
SC do the publishers that put out discount titles lose money? Ala ESPN which has been sold as if it were a discount title? 60 bucks is steep if like me you get a new release twice a month.
Captain McMahon
I get a new release maybe 6 months or more. My next game will be in December (Stargate-SG1: The Alliance), the last new game I got was in November (Halo 2).
